Ole Miss had a 7-6 lead at halftime in their season opener, and the score stayed the same going into the 4th quarter. They wore out Boise's secondary in the 4th quarter with 3 touchdown passes. Final score was 35-13.
That same Boise St. team got beat by Air Force 28-14 on Sept. 27th. Why would I bring up Air Force? For the simple fact that Air Force was dominated last week by Utah State 34-16! That is the same Utah State team that we crushed in our season opener.
Those facts only mean that we are lightyears better than Boise State. How does all of this translate to Ole Miss? Our secondary will not fade in the 4th quarter like Boise state did. I believe our defense can get us this win as long as our offense can hold on to the ball and not give Ole Miss the short field.

I believe ole miss coughed up the ball several times. I didn't follow it closely but I believe to date that's been the only "Bad Bo" game this year.

Ah yes, the ol' "one of our opponents beat one of their opponents so therefore we can win" argument. Classic. Never fails.

I'm certainly not saying we will win without a doubt, but I do think that Ole Miss might be a little bit too over-hyped.

You've already explained Boise State. Add to it that Memphis played them all the way into the 4th quarter as well. It was 7-3. Texas A&M only looked good this season because everyone thought South Carolina was going to win the East. So when they stomped them, everyone was calling for "Kenny Football". A&M has since looked very underwhelming- just as South Carolina has. Alabama also looks different this year. It seems (I'm hoping) that the Kiffin Curse is gaining momentum.

That being said, I don't see Ole Miss' win over Bama as being some monumental victory. Bama is 5-3 in their last 8 games which is unheard of for someone like Saban. They hadn't played anyone worth anything until they played Ole Miss. And they very nearly (and should have) lost to Arkansas if it wasn't for a blocked PAT and fumble through an endzone (sound familiar?).

It'll be an interesting game for sure.

I would say that Ole Piss has improved since the Boise State game. So, if they were to play this weekend, I am sure the result would be quiet different.

The key is not getting the defense to perform better or the offense to perform better. Just stop the TURN OVERS!!!!! Fumbles & interceptions have cost us every game that we lost this season.

Ole Miss and Boise State looked pretty bad to start the year. Ole Miss got better, Boise St has not.

Fixed...

We beat SC last year. SC beat Mizzou. So we should have beaten Mizzou last year huh?

Oh wait, we got destroyed by Mizzou.

College Football at its best, that's why we watch on Sat. and not so much on Sundays

Sat. players are better than others on the team, could be age or ability

Sun players are close to the same level, age or ability is even >>>even if you don't play they cut you >> not that way on Sat.

You also have to look at the progression of the team. I know we've had some key injuries, but we haven't made the changes when needed to close out a couple ball games. I blame some of that on play calling for both Georgia and Florida. Especially Florida. Ole Miss has a great defense, and I see Worley getting beat up badly Saturday night.

But Boise St beat Nevada who beat Washington State who beat Utah who beat UCLA who beat Arizona St who beat USC who beat Stanford and Arizona who beat Oregon who beat Michigan State.

Boise St must be better than all of these teams. National title contender imo...

What happened in the 1st game of the season is meaningless at this point of the season. Did you notice what Ole Miss did in its most recent 2 games against quality SEC opponents? That is more indicative of how the Rebels might be playing this week as opposed to 6 weeks ago.
