McElwain has bad teeth but he owns the SEC East winning it this yr.

Players blew it this yr. bull**** at South Carolina was inexcusable.

Florida has much better defensive players than Tennessee and a lot more of them. They had enough to stop a very average LSU offense. Especially with LSU ****ing away 21 pts

I just got on a few min. ago and after hearing about the Gators won I had the same thoughts. I hate mcilwain and Gators but I have not heard anytime in the past where he was bemoaning injuries. lyle and shoop use it ever game. I may have missed some times mcilwain did or forget. Listening to Tim Priest who has the courage to call it like he sees it is a relief. I know blobb will or cannot. Just piss poor effort on coaches and many players. Don't use depth as a excuse since lyle has had four years to add depth.:mf_surrender::mf_surrender::mf_surrender:

LSU choked. What did Florida do, exactly, other than take the gifts given them?

LSU blew three....THREE...scoring opps inside the five yard line, missed an easy tackle for UFs only (cheap) TD, and handed them a FG with another turnover.

LSU should have won by 2-3 TDs....Florida just got really lucky.

They are going to get skinned alive by bammer and probably FSU.

ANd you know what? If somehow they beat bammer, I will be very happy anyway. That one is a win win, because either the gators or rotards are going to lose

Only TN gets lucky in a win. Other teams are just better coached.

That may be true. But come on there is no way to excuse how bad this defense is playing, injuries or not. It's just not that we can't get lined up at the snap, or that we are out of position, it's the fact that when they are in the right place, they can't freakin tackle! This is without a doubt the worst tackling defense we have had in a very long time. Nothing else matters if we can't tackle.

You are correct my friend. Tim Priest on the network preached that very thing all night. Both are right. They did not even get in the stance in time to be effective and when the back blew by them they could not get them on the ground. If this is not the worse defense we have ever seen, and some preach on here it is not, it is piss poor anyway you cut it!

... Which is why if you read my first post in this thread, I said the difference between the two teams is Florida plays defense and played a little softer schedule.

Don't underestimate the effect of attrition at ONE position. Id rather lose 4 starters spread out over 22 positions ( offense and defense ) than to lose 4 starters at the DT position. Losing Obrien, tuttle, McKenzie, and Johnson ( Johnson and Obrien due to off the field issues ) has reduced our defense ( any defensive guru will tell you that you must stop the run first to have a good defense ) to absolutely pathetic. No way shoop can sprinkle pixy dust on this and fix it. If this were the NFL, we would go to free agency and find 4 more serviceable DT's, but this isn't the NFL and we have what we have and it is not good enough. We have to win games with offense now, plain and simple. The best Shoop can do is bend but don't break and hope for turnovers and penalties and field goals. I think this is what he is doing.

We're winning with better talent instead of better coaching. So what if we're playing 3rd string players. Our 3rd string players should be better than most lower level SEC or Appy State level players. UTC defensive play against Bama put ours to shame. Some players on our defense have no idea where to be when the ball is snapped. At this point our back up players should know what to do. The weakest teams in the SEC are racking up 400 yards on the ground against us. Very bad.
