Intel on Pruitt situation

Then your not as smart as you pretend. I made no mention of intel being given. I simply stated the facts and that is I am the nephew of one of the major donors and am close to several boosters. Not sure what my burden to prove is. Just because you have no one in such position does not mean others can’t. So, you do you.
Lol okkkkkkkkk

Everybody who has been through a coaching search or 2 knows the only true intel comes in the middle of the night via cryptic posts which all loosely translate as "soon".

1. Is absolutely, 100% false. Pruitt made the change himself, against the advice of his AD.

2. "Boosters" are given way too much credit on message boards. The last two times UT has had an opening, the money has not been an issue in trying to hire a coach. Getting someone worth the money to say yes has been the issue. I don't think that changes.

Secondly on the boosters, remember that the pandemic has affected their businesses and portfolios as well. UT is already asking money folks to go above and beyond their normal number just so they can come close to budget. Facing a $40 million deficit, nobody is coming up with an extra $20 million to blow out the staff this year.
How far do you think the university will let the wheels fall off this time, before making a HC change? Football is a business and business doesn’t care if you are already broke. You either have a sellable product or you are screwed.

People defend the hardest when you are over the target. I trust the person I heard this from more than you.

Do you script this BS out before you start trolling or just make it up as you go along?

Funny how most are saying you are full of crap but offer no other logical retorts to your info. BTW, I don’t know if you are telling the truth or not. But I can clearly see all what you said as being true.

LOL... So brand new account comes in and makes rediculous claims, and everyone should believe him because no one has any "counter-evidence" to refute him?

Thats not how it works.

Theoretically, I believe you would only have to find some donors, fans or whatever to commit to roughly 8-10 Million. Pruitt's buyout is not a lump sum. As far at the assistants, Im not too sure. If you "were" able to get someone like Freeze then it could boost this program 10 fold.

Pruitt has had some historic losses and I really just believe he is too stubborn and isn't letting his coaches coach. Sam Pittman obviously didnt hold briles back on saturday. They ran several gimmick plays and took everything we gave them in the 3rd quarter. We're over just running the ball for 3 yards at a time and had 4 or 5 straight 3 and outs. Have the ball with 6 minutes left and we run 7 times in a row and then try a slant fot the first time all year with a qb who's only thrown 2 passes all year. Not to mention, not kicking the field goal because you felt you werent close enough when your kicker had already made 2 50 yarders. We can all gripe about Butch, trust me, but Pruitt has made more terrible calls on gameplan and in game adjustments than Butch did in 5 years.

All im saying is that if you could get people to commit to 8 to 10 million you could fire and hire freeze and a new staff. Very risky because youre making a decision without the money on hand per say in hopes of it coming back in with a splash hire coach.

You're going to lose a lot more trotting Pruitt out there trying to force a 1980's offense with an average defense when he's supposed to be the defensive genius than you would if you could lock up Freeze. Its definitely worth a call on Fulmer's part and according to Austin Price, doesn't seem like a pipe dream.

From a financial standpoint, he’s getting 2021 no matter what. There’s a $40 million loss this year and projections of a $30-50 million loss next year. So where is a $16-ish million buyout for him and his staff coming from in either of those years? Remember, your biggest boosters (and most of your middle money people) have also had the worst financial years of their lives.

Not before the end of 2021. Maybe longer.

The good news is next fall won't be stressful since the expectations will be so low. I predict 3-9

The buyout actually is a lump sum. It’s not paid out to him in a lump sum, but state law in Tennessee requires state agencies to deposit 100% of a contract employee’s buyout in the event of a termination. It is then paid out of that fund for the remainder of the contact period.

I don’t think Freeze is going to be allowed to return to the SEC by the folks in Birmingham, but I’ve been surprised before.

Thanks for the reply, DP. Would Tennessee be able to put property or some some assets as collateral with some money or is that legally out of the question?
