Insane NFL Draft Stat

Too bad the Vols haven’t pulled their share of the load in a very long time. Hopefully we can start contributing to that stat here in a couple of years and Charles Davis will stop getting publicly humiliated on air by his colleagues because FCS/Division 2 schools have more players drafted.
2017 we were represented pretty well at the draft not fantastic but 6 players taken in the first 4 rounds is pretty good including Barnett in the 1st rd

How many times in the last 6-7 years have we had zero players taken? 3, 4 years? We’ve had 1-2 decent years in that timespan. Hardly meeting traditional Tennessee standards is all I’m saying. At one point in the not too distant past we had more players in the league than any other school and were well ahead of even Alabama in terms of players drafted all-time. We’ve since been passed up by several schools. The draft is a pretty accurate reflection of just how bad the football has been in Knoxville for a decade now.

Next draft, possible draftees are: J Jennings, Calloway, Kirkland, Woody, Buitii, Warrior & Buchanan

Depelnds on their performance this season & with their workout performance
For instance, if Woody is a seldom used tight end but has good measurable, he may be drafted

The years after Stallings had the same thing happen to them. I remember Fernando Bryant getting drafted in that time period but not anyone else
My point is that it should only be temporary in our case

OP. It's good unless your team has basically been in disarray during such an unprecedented run of the teams all around you. :-\

We have 14 teams in conference.

The Big 10 and ACC both have 14 teams in conference.

SEC still comes out on top every year.

You might say, "but the PAC and B12 only have 10 or 12 teams." Yes, but they're the weaker conferences in the Power 5, anyway. They weren't going to be on top even at 14 teams.

The point is valid.

It hasn't been good for Tennessee. Everyone on our schedule is tougher than they used to be and we have suffered while the conference prospered.

The NFL scouts read this board and determine that the players are as bad as our posters write. Thanks to the NegaVols on this board, our players have no chance of being drafted.

What are you talking about? Tennessee has had lots of players drafted in the last several years....unfortunately they all went to play somewhere else before they were drafted.

And there are still people that will say Saban isnt the GOAT? I mean the main reason the SEC rukes this list is because of his dominance.

Hopefully we can get back to getting some guys drafted soon.

3 or 4 years is not correct but I get what your saying as far as the standards we had grown accustomed to. It's a product of bad coaching changes and other schools catching up in terms of resources.

If scouts depend on input from us lawyers, police officers, teachers, military, & farmers then they are bad at their job

BUTch could have had Preston Williams, Hurd, Marquez North, Riley Ferguson all in NFL
Didn’t develop Norths talent. Caused Williams, Ferguson Hurd, Creamer & Wharton to leave
