I've been impressed with Umarov. I think Pendelton has disappointed a little, but it's hard to really complain about the OL.
Sham (and Kitselman) kinda killed us on the drive after the strip sack. Missed blocks by both of them that could’ve busted Bishop wide open.

Not saying they weren’t great the rest of the game, but I’ve rewatched those 3 plays multiple times, and those two were the weak link.

I just read that Amari Jefferson is eligible for another redshirt this year since his redshirt last year at Alabama was medical and he didn’t play any snaps for them.

@ Bama against Simpson will be difficult for the secondary. When OU comes to town, Mateer may give our entire defense fits.

Then there’s always Florida. UT has tendencies to make their QB look like a top 5 pick annually.
Why I don’t see any team running the gauntlet thru sec. Hard to expect any team to bring their A game every Saturday…even UGA. That’s why I think sec is like a survivor/elimination pool…just keep focused on week by week because looking past anyone puts you in the threshold of a potential L.

So my wife’s former boss has a son who starts as the punter for Oklahoma and apparently he was hurt this past week so he wasn’t in the game. So I decided to go and pull up the injury report to see if he might be playing tomorrow just out of curiosity when we were talking about it earlier. OU’s injury report makes it makes me feel much better about ours:

At this point in the season, I choose to focus on the guys who play on Saturdays. No point in being concerned about guys on the shelf. When/if they are able to get back, how well they can perform and help is anyone's guess. Til then I just hope the dudes who are playing football on Saturdays remain healthy.
