Injury Status on A&M Stars

74Vol, I had seen a rumor on the 247 board that there was a player not progressing well and going in for an MRI, hadn't seen confirmation on if it was RSJ or not.

Everyone else from above should be good to go and have not seen any A&M mods/sources report otherwise.

The one I'm really worried about that no one is talking about is Keith Ford. He didn't play the whole second half and is known to be injury prone. He's our starting RB and very much a punishing runner. Nowhere near Trayveon's explosive ability but he goes about 220-225 and is usually our go to guy in the first half to come out of the gates strong. Also returns kicks from time to time.

I remember the Ford kid. Didn't he play with Knight at Oklahoma? If I remember correctly he was suspended and his parents blamed an injury he sustained while playing Tennessee in 2015.

Who did you think was going to reply to this thread? The team Dr?

A&M will provide as little useful info as possible.

This.

"Offical" reports are about as good as "the guy that went to elementary school" with __________ player(s).

Yeah. High rated kid coming out of Cypress in the Houston area. Didn't hit it off with Mike Sherman and our previous staff, then when Sumlin came to town he was all but locked in with Stoops and OU. He got dinged up pretty bad, lost his job and got homesick. He was suspended indefinitely then ended up leaving school to come be closer to home.

By all accounts he's a good kid and a very hard worker, he just didnt handle the transition to college well. Kinda ironic that our backfield was the OU backfield from a couple years ago.

Historically he has refused to even acknowledge injuries in the press, unless a player suffers something that will be season ending.

He sticks to this policy almost to a fault. It's part of the cocky air he has that Aggies love when we're winning and detest when things start going south late in the season.

Let me be one of the first to welcome you to the site, (sorry if you haven't already received a welcome until now, and I apologize and stand corrected if I'm not the first.) and say thanks for the insight into your team and the thoughts on the game. Best of luck but hope we get out alive and with a W. Glad you're here!:good!:

Billy Luicci who is part owner of Texags.com and a program insider said that Myles will play Saturday and that if he had to guess he's at 80% right now.

I watched his game against Arkansas.
That boy is soft, breathing heavy in the 2nd quarter, hands on his hips, body language terrible early on, and lacks effort to chase down run plays.
Only time I was impressed was on 3rd down obvious passing situations.
He relishes those opportunities and really goes hard and is impressive if he knows he can chase the QB. Otherwise he is soft and no Derek Barnett by any means!!!

Garrett is very ordinary, and that's generous in run defense.

With all the light being shed on UT's injuries I thought I would bring up A&M's injuries. Listening to interviews with A&M reporters it sounds like the 4 players from last week are questionable again this week.

Texas A&M battling injury bug before Tennessee clash

With a potentially season-shaping matchup against Tennessee on the horizon, Texas A&M is battling the injury bug.

Three key offensive players – not to mention star defensive end Myles Garrett – are fighting to overcome injuries after missing Saturday’s South Carolina game.

Receivers Speedy Noil and Ricky Seals-Jones, as well as offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, didn’t travel to Columbia for the Aggies’ 24-13 win over the Gamecocks.
