Myles Garrett DE, Ricky Seals-Jones WR, and Speedy Noil WR all missed last Saturdays game with USCe in fact they apparently didn't even make the trip to Columbia, SC.

All online sources I have found list them as "unknown" with regard to Saturday's game with Vols.

If these guys can't go it goes along ways towards evening up our losing Cam, Kirkland, and Maybin.

Anyone heard anything new on either A&M's or our guys status for the upcoming game?

They were all held out for precautionary reasons. Garrett re-entered the game against Arkansas, so it didn't seem to be anything too serious. Speedy Noil had a concussion, most expect him to be back. Seals-Jones had what appeared to be the most serious injury, but his twitter says he'll be ok - he's the only one I would have a question on.

They didn't travel because they wanted to get treatment instead of traveling when they knew they wouldn't play.

I've read that the only player with the more serious injury is Seals-Jones. He might not be able to go but Garrett & Noil will probably be a go for sure. Garrett has a sprained ankle that's pretty bad but he came back in the game he was hurt & played a few snaps. He will play though against us.

They will play. No inside info here but the fact that Sumlin specifically chose not to comment on it during his presser just makes me feel like he wants to hide the fact that they are playing. Garrett re-entered the Arkansas game as some have already said.

I just feel like they didn't travel because they weren't needed. And there is a cap on how many can travel. So why waste roster space for people not playing?

Even Garrett's teammates were surprised that he didn't make the trip...they rested him, he will play.

Sumlin never talks about injuries, that's his policy, he isn't trying to hide anything. I would expect all of them to play considering we have a bye week after the UT game.

He might have used Google like I did.

Neither you your boy or Google know for sure. All are questionable according to all "official" reports meaning the A&M coaching staff. A&M fans on their boards now expect Garrett and Noil to play and RSJ to miss the game apparently latest MRI wasn't good. But then I guess you know that as you Googled it.

Who did you think was going to reply to this thread? The team Dr?

A&M will provide as little useful info as possible.

74Vol, I had seen a rumor on the 247 board that there was a player not progressing well and going in for an MRI, hadn't seen confirmation on if it was RSJ or not.

Everyone else from above should be good to go and have not seen any A&M mods/sources report otherwise.

The one I'm really worried about that no one is talking about is Keith Ford. He didn't play the whole second half and is known to be injury prone. He's our starting RB and very much a punishing runner. Nowhere near Trayveon's explosive ability but he goes about 220-225 and is usually our go to guy in the first half to come out of the gates strong. Also returns kicks from time to time.

I think he's out against us too. I think I read that on Monday from Bleacher Report. They said he's 80%-90% a no-go but you never know.

I hope so. Barnett or Vareen against a backup should be a huge advantage for us. But then on the other side of the coin, Brett Kendrick will have to match up with Garrett sometimes.

Thanks for the input. Sumlin apparently doesn't comment on injuries at all.

Historically he has refused to even acknowledge injuries in the press, unless a player suffers something that will be season ending.

He sticks to this policy almost to a fault. It's part of the cocky air he has that Aggies love when we're winning and detest when things start going south late in the season.
