Tennessee has long been a proud university. One which has produced many talented graduates in academics and sports.

Our sports fan base has been second to none.

However, the circus we have witnessed over the past few years is destroying so much of what took a long time to establish.

We have gone far and wide to bring in people to entrust the future of our great university to who have proven to be inept and to clearly not have the well-being of UT at heart.

Now, we stand embarrassed before the whole world. This ineptness is the face of our once proud university.

Those who have glided into "leadership" roles, have forgotten what made us great. And they do not care.

First, the students who chose UT, and became alumni; the parents and families who sacrificed to send them there; the outstanding athletes who are, and have been, an outstanding part of our history; and the tremendous fans who have given their all to everything in being dedicated VOLUNTEERS.

Those inept people who make decisions based upon their own selfish desires, have forgotten the value of all those listed above.

As in business, which requires attracting customers, and retaining those customers to grow and survive, it is with fans.

We support UT because we love it; not because we do not have other choices.

These inept, selfish, unconcerned people are totally destroying all that loyalty. They seem to be unaware that the future of Tennessee depends upon all the others mentioned above, much, much more than it depends upon them.

So many Volunteer fans are the most frustrated they have ever been, and are totally embarrassed that we have such a tremendously unqualified small group of people in charge, with the power to destroy everything which has made us proud over so many years.

My sentiments exactly (and several hundred thousand others)! In a nutshell "THEY" are killing the goose that laid the golden egg and they are either oblivious to that fact or they just plain don't understand (or care)! What a fiasco! An embarrassment like no other time in history, for ANY school!

It's insane we get stuck with a power hungry, egotistical maniac like Haslam...then end up with a BoT that's incompetent and uncaring, and a school administration that somehow doesn't care about our traditions in athletics, and how that is all tied together to make our university what it is. All they see is dollar signs and think its unimportant that the fans and alumni be happy, only that they pay for whatever they want: which is obviously not a winning athletic program.

Yup. Been happening for years and too many people said "shut-up, sit down" to the people crying wolf too. There is literally a guy on VQ right now defending the Haslams, defending Curries, and attacking Fulmer and the fans. Blows my mind

Yeah, but I bet this crapshow gets straightened out in the near future. Things that have needed to happen for a while for us to get back to where we should be...

All of those people were put in place by the Haslam family. They have been running the show for decades now. Bill is governor, he is chairman of the BOT.. the problems run very, very deep

I said on Sunday that this was the beginning of an unequivocal, full blown implosion of the university's power structure, and I stand by that statement. It might not all happen at once, but whether it is over the course of the next several weeks or the next several years, it will continue to crumble. Something inside of it is broken, and the cracks are now big enough for literally everyone to see.

I am not a UT grad, but I have been a Tennessee fan most of my life, and it is very sad to see what it has become. I live in Memphis, which is, for all intents and purposes, an "SEC melting pot". I have been astounded at the number of opposing fans who've mentioned how sad this all is. Not hilarious, but sad. These are people who largely absolutely despise UT, saying how sad it is.

It's just crazy, man.

Just left a luncheon with a few faculty at Ole Miss. They were saying "we lost more scholarships, got an extended bowl ban, and we're still not the biggest dumpster fire in the SEC".

People are laughing at us for sure. Some blame the fans, when we know is the administration.

I'm just glad Currie is out. I wouldn't want to work for him regardless of my affinity for UT football.

Maybe after the FBI shows up. You would think the basketball investigations would make them think. But no, they are just too damn arrogant.

In the far future? Once they get some oversight in there to stop this Game of Thrones nonsense, maybe. But unless they find just cause to serve a warrant, this clown act will keep on until it turns violent. And it is getting closer than I ever thought possible.

Oh well, In twenty years, it will make a hit movie.

The University of Tennessee could no worse in choosing its administration if it attached a $50 bill to a fishing line and dragged it through a trailer park.

Unbelievable.
