Let's check:
9/3/09: L (19-8 @Boise)
9/13/08: W (32-26 2OT @Purdue)
9/27/08: W (63-14 @Wazzu)
9/8/07: W (39-7 @Michigan)
9/29/07: W (55-31 @Stanford)
9/9/06: W (31-24 @Fresno St)
9/30/06: W (48-13 @Arizona St)
Wiki doesn't have their results going further back, and someone else could check if they like, but this is enough to convince me that they actually have a pretty stout road record in September. That said, their road opponents haven't exactly been top class (the Michigan game was the week after the Appy State game).
Enjoy...
Oregon Historical Scores
Doesn't look like Oregon travels to the south much, hopefully that works in our favor.

Agree but I see Simms being pulled/ exiting early to accomplish this feat.Fact is Oregon's performance has set up a great opportunity for the Vols. While the chances are slim, a victory against a top ten team will create tremendous buzz that should create momentum for the season as well as recruiting.
Could be the Vols most important non conference game in the last 10 years.
A win against Oregon would be HUGE for the program right now....I'm not saying we have a great chance to beat them but we do have a chance.....let's hope Wilcox can keep them contained and D....as long as we play mistake free football on offense(few penalties, no turnovers) and control the ball we should have at least a shot at winning the game.
