just pipe in recorded sound noise from games like '09 USCe and the first qtr of '10 Oregon on top of the live crowd noise. it would be f'n deafening

I've got it. Everyone brings an orange cowbell with the Power T on it to the game, and they shake it. Never mind, that would be lame.

just win all the home games. you don't have to worry about noise then.

Ahhh so support the team win ot tie, is now replaced support the team if winning, if not %$@# em.

Nice fan philosophy.

That's just so very pathetic....you only support the team when their on top.....lol

I'm screaming till i'm hourse, eyeballing people not standing up and getting my section up and loud at every game I go......if we're losin i wanna scream louder....to me the issue is more generational.

When I was at UT, the loudest section was ALWAYS the student section, the older alumni had more subdued sections, the students were off the chains. Now many games you look over at the students, and it's all this posturing stoic...."I'm too cool to scream" emo poses. I dunno hoping the kids starting to come in now are gonna get wild again, for a few years the students have been among the most quiet section of the stadium minus the few front rows which have never been tamed.

If ya can't get buck wild when your 18-26 when can ya!!!!?????

Or maybe they "text" yells.....and I just can't hear em.

When us crusty old Alums are louder then the students it's a sad statement.

When that place is full and they have hope . . . usually in the 1st quarter . . . that stadium can be a lot louder than you think. Part of the problem there is just like in Athens: the stadium has 85,000 in it, but one end of it is open in the upper deck and it doesn't keep noise in as well as some other places.

Interesting point. Neyland stadium's upper deck is open on the underside, so it baffles the crowd noise and deflects it out of the stadium. I've been to smaller stadiums that were louder, e.g. Legion Field in Birmingham.

Topless cheerleaders

I for one would be speechless. So not so much. The wives might get it to ear splitting level though, but that would be on the car ride home.

I'm voting for the free JD plan as the most effective.

I am too old to indulge at the games, but the shakedown of excited college students needs to stop. Let the kids and young adults have a little beverage to enjoy the game.

Ding ding ding....we have a winner folks. TG also strikes me as a guy that wouldn't tell you to sit down but slide the heck over.

Back in my student days when they were still hawking drinks in stands....we used to fill up zip locks with Vodka or like beverage and put them in our underwear....then buy a tray of drinks dispense through all, and sell what we didn't want........good times. People just rarely pat yah down like that.....or maybe they do now...

Hess has A/C? Wonder if they cut down the kudzu I grew in my room?

Yeah they do now...no Radiators either...(I wonder how they cook their raman with out the clanging radiators?) But it's made the place all "Civil" Used to be you had an unwritten rule you had to keep your door open and the guy across the hall had to keep their door open for any chance at a cross breeze, but made for very Noisy, lively atmosphere. entire hall used to just wonder out of each other's rooms like a large house. When I visited all the rooms had closed doors with only a bit of music peeping through....no one in halls hanging out.....It's like Library quiet there on Gameday.........eerie.....The Zoo has been tamed. Perhaps they were just pining.....but deff not the same place I remember ..... Though to be fair, you might actually be able to study there now.....I bet they don't do keg parties on J7 now either...... :(

It really breaks down to every fan asking..... If everyone in here was as loud as me, how loud would it be?

Being loud can make a difference at times, it's advantage that all fans should realize.
