A particular gripe that is common among the message board is the lack of enthusiasm from the crowd at Neyland Stadium.
I was wondering if UT installed a sound measuring device in the stadium (which would have the capacity to be illustrated by a meter on the jumbo-tron) and enticed fans to exceed a particular decibel level during defensive series a set number of times with rewarding incentives if this would get Neyland rocking again.
E.g. Stadium exceeds 110 decibels ( random esitmate given- record for a football game is 127 held by Oregon if you want to use a number a guide) over 10 times during defensive series, then fans will be refunded $5, or receive some some limited edition memorabilia to be handed out after the game, or earn vouchers for discounts on future tickets, concessions etc..
Just wanted to know if this has been done before or if anyone has good compelling arguments for or against it.
