Incentive for the 'bama game

Thought he was highlighting it was still a big rivalry game to the players, fans, and historically.

That was my take. As in, “let’s stop focusing on negative…we just beat Tennessee, which is a big deal in Alabama.”

I aleays hate to hear a coach say they beat someone when all they did was just score more points. The nerve of some coaches.

At my age, if I didn't post it after watching part of the game, I sure as heck wouldn't remember it as the season draws closer. I guess that's what I get for starting a post.

Nobody talks about this, but the Alabama game last year was the most deceiving box score we had all year. It was a one score game early in the fourth.

People talk about a 52-24 loss when the fat lady sang.
It was a curb stomping. 4 TDs.

This is exactly why when you are trying to build (or rebuild as in Heupel's case) that you stay close in those games. Heupel gave them a gift TD going for it deep in Tennessee territory mid 4th qtr when punting (even down 14) was probably the better play. Bama added a late TD to make it look real bad when if fact it was a competitive game for 3 qtrs. You have to stay in the game as long as you can cause you never realize when someone may knock a ball loose or sack the qb. .

Maybe he was, to me at least, it looked more like he was poking fun at Tennessee. And unfortunately, it hasn't been a rivalry for several years now.
