Can oone get a personalized license plate with the UT logo/power T on it? Seems like every SEC school can get their crap on TN plates. I don't think one can get UT stuff here in Kensucky.

You can't in alabama. I know some guys that were going to get a petition going to get a UT license plate in AL. Supposedly it required a certain number of signatures (based on money that it would bring in), but nothing ever came to fruition.

Anyways complete BS that you can't, but my license plate says UTFAN16 :)

Obviously you can in Tennessee, and you can in Georgia also (it just costs a lot more for registration/tags here anyway). Not sure about other states.

I don't think I have seen a personalized UT plate on any other states tags. As I wrote everyone can get their crap on TN tags. Very troubling.

I was disappointed that the checkerboard plates fell through here in TN. I was looking forward to that one.

Can't get anything with official UT seal on it here in Florida (behind enemy lines). Some people have personalized license plates with UT messages on them, but I have so much Orange stuff on my car that there is no way people don't know I'm Big Orange through and through!

Not exactly. You either get that 15 year old National Champions plate, the UT school system plates with the stare of Tennessee outlined over the top of the T or that hideous sunburst plate.

All I want these guys to do is make a license plate with just a Power T on it. No decorations. No sunbursts. No gimmicky graphics. Just a Power T. Sort of similar to these plates:

A recent post by the Upstate SC Alumni association indicated the UT plates have finaly been approved by the SC DMV. I put my dibs in for several of them on petitions that were started several years ago.

Why would the state advertise out of state schools? That right there is bs. Probably one of those smart vandy grads came up with it. What the hell is going on in the great state of Tennessee? That's like the USA putting up a billboard advertising Buy Made in China.

My god, I know, just the power T. If there were more than 8 people in this crummy state I would see what needs to be done to get the T on KY plates. I guess Tennessee may be ahead of the curve, this must raise a decent amount or revenue.

No kidding.... Although our US of A corporations may as well be putting up that sign along with "Travel to India/China/Pakistan/Mexico...get a job with us!"

In Va there is no license agreement with ut.....sucks
We were working on that at one point. It's doable, you just have to get a certain amount of people to sign and purchase them. I forget the number now. Seems like it was 1000.

The Richmond alumni association is trying to change that. I received an email from them earlier this week with the form that needs to be filled out. If they can get 350 together then it will be approved in VA.

350, that was it. We should all come together on this and get it done. I will be back in Virginia soon. Shouldn't be that hard.
