I hope we don't sign any scrubs to fill out the class. Next years class will be smaller, and back counting a couple more wont hurt us.

What happens to the scollys where the kids left. Arnett,

Still cannot sign more than 25. You have to increase a depleted roster over time.

We have enough depth now that Dooley would not fill it with scrubs, knowing that he can get more talent next year.

There is also 0% chance we do not take the maximum this year.

i think the only way you can backcount now is if you didnt sign the full 25 from the year before... i may be wrong, but i think if you signed 24 from the year before you could backcount 1... etc...

Why do people assume that will only have 17 or 20 scholarships to offer next year? Tenn will sign the max this year, will sign 25 next year. There will always be attrition in the off year, some lower players "asked" to look around for transfer opportunities, etc.

No worries on not signing a full class, we are just about there now. The one thing about Dooley is he doesn't loose verbal commits I like that about the way he recruits, "tells kids to take their visits and be certain they want to be a VFL"

I agree, some freak out a year in advance and most every time they will sign the max. If CDD is right and the VFL helps with signing high character guys, there will be less attrition for bad reasons and more for guys that are getting no playing time. In the end it works out to a better, more competitive roster.
