In the end, It's all about track record...

Bottom line... Kelly is about to win a BCS conference in his 2nd year and go to a BCS bowl. Something UT hasn't done in 9 years.

Difference is Kelly is in a BCS conference in a urban area and can't out recruit the people in his conference. The others were in lower conferences or divisions and were going undefeated. Kelly is not.

You do know there is a school 2 hours up the road that will take all of the recruits from the 'urban cincinnati area' right?

To all the Leach lovers I'm curious about something. If TT wasn't #2 in the country and if they didn't beat Texas would Leach even be a candidate? Up until this year I didn't know anything about him and he has received a lot of media exposure this year so could you be basing your opinion off ESPN analyst. I'm neither for or against Leach I'm just curious as to why a lot of people seem to be on the Leach wagon. I would think that if TT was 8-4 like they were last year then his name might not come up as much. Though, I don’t claim to know it all so I could be wrong.

Whether or not I want Leach to come to UT is not the point of what I am about to say so just keep that in mind. So with that said, the one thing I find intriguing about Leach is that with his personality, he is one of the few I think that could handle the pressure that comes with coaching at Tennessee. Yes he is quirky and maybe a little odd for some, but the man does what he does with no reserve and is not intimidated to try something different. Now that is a scary proposition for Tennessee since we are at a very fragile state with regards to our football program. A wrong move now, hiring the wrong coach, will send us so far back that it will take us years and years to recover. Now, I believe that Mike Leach is not an idiot. He is definitely not your ordinary type of coaching personality, but he does want to succeed and he does want to win. He does possess a tough personality and a no excuses attitude. So if he were to come here, I believe he would do everything he could to win. Whether or not his results would be to our high standards, that is a question that can be only answered one way. We would have to give him a shot.

What pressure? John Adams writing a column about you?

CPF won nothing of significance for 10 years and some people are pissed he was asked to leave

Kelly has won 5* conference championships at 3 different schools and 2 NC in Div II IN 8 YEARS. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

*Edit: if he wins the Big East this year.
