Guys I was compelled to write this because of the other thread in which she presented a very accurate review of her child. It seems like she possesses the football knowledge to be a good HS coach at least.
This could be a paen to Kevin Simon's dad as well, but basically what it boils down to is this:
I cannot be objective about the play of someone I went to high school with, or tutored and befriended, and now that I have children I could never talk in a civil manner with someone who was denigrating my child.
I think all super fans realize they are somewhat diseased (yes if you have 500 or more posts on a message board like this you are a super fan) but I also do not think as often as I should about what an impact it has when I get so angry at someone I do not know who is not cheating to help us lose because they were paid off but is just not excelling as much as I think they should while on scholarship at my alma mater.
Thanks to the moms and dads who did not just go to watch their children play, but who fell in love with the sport, and the schools and the teams and the fellow fans. Thanks to the moms and dads and aunts and uncles and grandparents who sit up there with player tickets and listen to the boos and still cheer for the team of the people who have treated their loved ones with disdain. Thanks to the parents and mentors who have raised men who I am proud to cheer for on and off the field, men who are staying out of trouble and giving back in an era when so many who lack parenting live a life more like Pac Man Jones. Thanks for taking the time to visit a message board, thanks for taking the time to converse, thanks for being a parent with the blessed genes that melded with lots of hard work produced athletic greatness and thanks most of all for being a fan.
