TN fans have been labeled as everything in the book lately. And some deservedly so. But its a cowardly way out for this Athletic Departments failure to do their job by blaming the fans. And the natl media as well. Its no different than a coach going for it on 4th and 1 then blaming the fans when it doesnt work. Well, the fans said go for it. TN fans have watched their beloved program go from elite status to the absolute bottom because of two bad hires (excluding Kiffins short time). Of course the fan base was following this coach search closely. And it was a debacle from start to finish. A total embarrassment. Ive heard a thousand times TN fans need to be patient. TN fans are delusional. We expect a lot because we give a lot. Before the two bad hires we were a perennial powerhouse and frequented Atlanta in December. But two bad hires and ten years later we are the worst team in the SEC. But we are impatient. We filled one of the largest stadiums in America game after game, but we are impatient. We have a history to rival any program in the country, resources to do the same, and in state talent is getting better every year. But we are delusional because we wanted a top tier coach. I see all the infighting in here amongst fans because we are passionate. What team in the country sells out their stadium when they have the worst season in the schools history? Stop blaming the fans and hold the admin accountable for doing their job. Their high paying job. Everyone is accepting Jeremy Pruitt, a born and bred Bama guy since birth. Thats where we are now. And honestly most fans are happy to have him, myself included. Or maybe just glad its over. But the fans are the only consistent thing this program has. And the top booster every year, thru thick and thin. We may fight amongst ourselves but we will be here long after the coaches come and go, and we have a right to be upset if we feel like this direction seems eerily similar to our previous direction. So stop blaming the fans for our fall and start opening your eyes to who makes the hires and creates these buyouts and win/loss records. Or just kick the fans out and see what kind of program you have without us. We are all gonna get on board now I think, happy or not, but this is the last chance in the minds of many. So I hope it works out.
