List the positive improvements along with the decreasing improvement that yall have seen from the beginning of the year, til the end.

QB: I feel that Ainge has overall had a solid year, not a spectacular one.. but it's still pretty solid. not much improvement from the beginning of the year though.

RB: Even though we lost Coker, I still feel great about our RB situation for next year.. Foster has greatly improved this year.. and he will probably anchor our running game next year.. Hardest also improved, except in the injury department.. And along with Creer.. I feel that once spring comes around, Creer will be our #2 back

WR: This group has improved over the year.. Taylor has been extremely solid all year.. Briscoe has been good to and improved ALOT since the first few games, when he had about 5 dropped passes in the first 3 games.. He was our 2nd best WR at the end of the year.. Rogers stayed about the same, but he is just a Sophmore, and i see him being more of a gamebreaker next year.. and definatley seeing him catching more balls thrown his way too.
Also, Moore and G. Jones have improved.. Jones has shown his potential and was getting a good amount of PT at the end.. and Moore showed his great pure athleticism of getting separation.. So the WR improved some over the year, but not as much as i expected

O-Line: This group has been phenomenal.. They've consistently had good pass protection.. and they were getting really good run blocks toward the second half of the season.

D-Line: This group improved this year also.. Ayers and Reynolds got better in the 2nd half of the year.. and so did Mitchell.. Bolded never really improved too much.. but they were actually getting ALOT of QB hurries and quickhits the last few games.

LB: This group played good all year. Especially in our 5 game winning streak at the end.. Mayo was the leader, and was playing at the intensity of AL Wilson, Well, almost.. and McCoy played solid all year.. and Karl did ok.. McKenzie made great improvement, along with Eillix Wilson.. Both of them saw heavy increasing amounts of PT..

DB: This was a very improved group! it starts With BERRY!! who was our all around best DB by far, the whole season.. and Vinson improved this year as much as anyone on the team.. his first few starts he got burned ALOT, and around the end, they werent' throwing towards his side near as much.. Willingham made great strides also. along with Rogan.. whos a playmaker.. i cant wait to see him on an Interception return.. and Kemp also improved..
This unit will be DEEP and talented next year.. with some Awesome playmakers in Berry, Vinson, Willingham, and Hopefully Morely and Rogan.

I'm going to compare last year to this year.

QB 06 > 07

TE 07 > 06
OL 07 > 06
DL 07 = 06
LB 06 > 07

What are you predictions about next years team?

My very early prediction (without even touching my normal offseason routine of stats, the draft, etc) is that if this team finds talent at WR, we lose no more than 1 or 2 regular season games.

Florida
Auburn
Georgia

Find 1 or 2 of those 3 games.

:good!:

I agree. Mark it down, 10-2 in 2008 and if the chips fall our way against UGA, 11-1.

I just don't think we match up well against Florida, though.

Luckily, we get Florida, Auburn, and Alabama in Neyland. If we go undefeated at home again, we could run the table with some luck in Athens.

Actually, I'm wrong, we have to travel to Auburn next year. We can still win that game, but much tougher.

what makes you think WRs will be down next year? a full off season for these young guys will have to work wonders. especially after having in game experiance

I never said they'd be down next year. I said they regressed through the course of this season.

I'd say that Taylor will be the go to receiver again, because of experience. I'd probably have Jones 2nd or 3rd behind maybe Briscoe or Rogers.

You heard it hear first. Behind a stout stout defensive football team UT will win the SEC and National Championships in 2008. Our O-Line should be the best in America and we will field a Top 5 defense. That was my wait till next year talk that I have perfected over the last 10 years.

uh did you see the same game saturday with the db's...BERRY is a stud but the only way they improve as much as you suggest is if we get 3 more Berry's and they play on talent alone....because it will be the same group being coached by the same guy..cough, cough Slade, unless he is let go.

Our O-Line should be the best in America and we will field a Top 5 defense.

I like the optimism, but how do you see us fielding a top 5 defense? We will not have a great defense until we get a couple of serious hoss DTs. I'm not convinced we have that yet.
