If UT finishes with a winning record, Bruce Pearl should be SEC coach of the year.

I watched a scrimmage a few weeks ago and I agree with you. We, we are not good.

I will say though that Asumnu sure can dunk. He had some monster jams last night at the Big Orange Madness.

So what did you all see to make you think that we aren't very good? Same ole stuff or what?

We just don't have ANY depth. Patterson coming back from suspension will help the situation, but we have guys who should be 8-10 minute a game players who will have to play 20-25 minutes.

I see. I'm just looking at this season as a preseason to UT basketball. As long as they play tough and maybe win a couple of games that they shouldn't, I'll consider it a good season.

However, the year after this one...it's on.

I'd give it two years. We will be exceptionally young next year. It will take two recruiting years to build some depth and implement Pearl's style of play.

To the point of depth, look back at all the final 4 teams of recent memory and they all seem to have 1 common denominator. That 6th man who can come off the bench and give 8-10 minutes a game and play either forward or guard...do the Vols have a guy like this?

I think Wingate's going to be improved. However, when you are thinking about giving Dane Bradshaw minutes at the 4!!!, that's a pretty good indication of serious problems.

Wingate showed some flashes last year but all of our post players were bad fundamentally. I hope he does well with Pearl.

Yeah I had the initial thought of 2 or 3 years but I'm way too impatient for that. I want it all and I want it now now now... :clapping:
