Qb- Dormady or Guarantano

RB- Kelly, Chandler, CFA

WR- Malone, Jennings, Byrd, Smith, Johnson, Callaway, et al

This looks accurate, but this is a depth chart.

Where will our prodctuon come from?

- Gaurantano with his legs and deep passes to Preston or Malone?

- Dormandy and more pass heavy, screen heavy offense?

- Will it be Dormady with designed throws and a lot of handoffs to Kelly, CFA and Chandler?

- Will we rely on ball control and and outr veteran Oline?

Actually, IMHO, both Smith and PWill are seeing their reps reduced based on their respective performances, or lack thereof. Right now Malone and Jennings are making plays and we're beginning to see Byrd emerge as well. Certainly Josh and PWill can still contribute, but they're only gonna do so in a supporting role to those 3 IMO because Malone, Jennings and Byrd are our most productive, dynamic WRs. I like that DeBord has shortened the rotation and I think the second half vs Florida shows the benefits of having done so.

Agreed

Offense will be better and more explosive in all aspects next year.

You think Hurd is holding our ran game back maybe.

You probably think Dobbs is holding our throw game back a little.

I also believe our offense will be more balanced. Dormady will make our WRs very happy. And vice versa.
Malone Sr
Williams Jr
Jennings Jr
Smith Sr
Callaway Fr
Murphy FR
Perry So

These are the guys I expect to shine.

Byrd will be on defense next year. I'm calling it.

You're pretty spot on with your assumptions. Hurd does hold the run game back and while I'm higher on Dobbs now, I believe next year whether it be QD or JG we upgrade at that position as well. Bryd I'm not sure, with Latrell and Perry we might be able to move him to full time defense but I think he's a game breaker in the slot.

He is.

But if he had of started on dDfense in the fall, he'd be our number 1 corner right now. He has that same maturity about him that Cam had as a freshman. He's very even keeled.

Byrd is blocking and catching like hes been here for 2 years.

We need to send him on a go route.

I never thought Dobbs would be a NFL qb.That changed Saturday.HE showed me he had the ability to stay in the pocket and deliver the ball while under duress.Add to that his running ability and unquestioned toughness.I think he will have a career in the league.I almost left out he's a pretty smart kid also.:)

I don't ever see him being an NFL QB..he could get up there and finally get a QB Coach that can coach him up but I'm just not sure his accuracy will ever be there and that is a huge part of being an NFL QB.

So far with Byrd all we've thrown to him are short passes. I know he's a slot WR but with his speed it's time to take him deep a few times.

I mean as the fastest player on the team at running 23.7 MPH let's get him down the field for some deep throws now. Mix it up with him. Go short, medium, & long with him all in the same game. Let's get this done starting at UGA.

Hopefully this has been saved for either Jawja or even A&M.

Good questions, not sure we'll know til we actually know.

You had just mentioned losing players and where the production was gonna come from once those top players are gone. I was just pointing out the obvious....we'll have some very talented players stepping into those roles in 2017. I think most fans suspect that with either QD or Guarantano at QB that our vertical passing game is more likely to flourish and that hopefully makes our offense more multiple. But who knows how it shakes out, especially given how the first 4 games with Team 120 have played out. All we can do is speculate at best.

Not to mention (I know we were saying this this year) but a VERY veteran line to allow this explosion to happen.

Kendrick RS Sr/ Richmond RS So
Robertson Sr/ Mosley RS Jr
Thomas Sr/ not sure about this one
Jones Jr/ Boulware RS So
Hall Jr/ Richmond RS So

Obviously I think that the combo about Johnson/Tatum/Niehaus will contribute at some point. Kind of thinking one of those 3 will be converted to a guard or center since (assuming Trey Smith stays committed) we'll be deep at tackle.

You are wrong if you are talking about Byrd. He was a top 100 player by every recruiting service. He was the 35th player in the country from ESPN, 75th from Rivals.

He was ranked by ESPN as the number 1 athlete in the country.

Well then I was thinking of someone else's rankings. There's a lot to remember in recruiting.

You may have been thinking of Latrell Williams. Both he and Byrd are Florida boys and both flipped from Miami to UT right before signing day. Williams was rated as a 2 star in some services if I'm not mistaken, but according to Miami talk forums he was extremely underrated and is lightning fast. Hasn't gotten playing time yet, will almost assuredly redshirt.
