Impact of new coach Derrick Ansley

Anyone know anything about this guy as a recruiter? Obviously he'll have some ties to Central Florida, which is always helpful, but I didn't know if anyone had heard about his recruiting ability.

Before joining the UCF staff, Ansley was a graduate assistant helping coach defensive backs at Alabama. He was considered a strong recruiter whose personal connections helped the Knights land DB Jacoby Glenn.

He wasn't there long enough to find out, but I expect him to excel, and I can give no logical reason to back this up.

Alabama is not the recruiting no man's land some would have you believe. You just need a great recruiter with ties to the state.

Florida State has proven this with Coach Craig.

Having Sal as DC and Ansley helping Joseph in secondary is a huge upgrade on this staff. Long gone are the days of playing 15 yards off receivers and a lot more pressing at the line.

They are upgrades but this means the players will have to learn a new system...You know how that goes sometimes...Be patient!
