IMO it is a great day to be a VOL!!! Yes, it would have been nice to land Wright/Jernigan, but if you look at how we closed over the past week it is commendable!! This is only Dooley and Co.’s first full season to recruit and it looks as though the ship is headed in the right direction. I realize people don’t think it should make any difference, but we finished 6 and 7 this season. Rivals has our class 11th and Scout has us at 10th.

I had almost completely forgotten about Kiffin until I saw where USC a team that is under sanction and only supposed to be able to sign 15 players for the next 3 years signed 28. Supposedly they have appealed!!!! Anyway, it seems as though Dooley and Co. held their own and I believe it will only get better in the years to come..

Our current roster coupled with the recruits we just signed have the future looking pretty bright!!! With more wins we will get more serious looks from high profile players and maybe we land a couple of these guys we lost down the stretch.

What hasn’t been mentioned enough is the fact that most of these guys appear to be on pace to qualify academically. I follow recruiting as much as anyone and you can give me this class full of qualifiers over some of the better classes we have had on paper (where 5 or 6 didn’t get in) any day of the week!!!!!

It kills me to see some of the things people on this site have said about this class being a disappointment!! A few months ago we were happy about getting into the top 25. The prospect of ending right outside the top ten seemed like a dream. Anyone on the site (with the exception of a few who are unrealistic) were ready to celebrate a finish like this!!! Let’s celebrate and be proud to be VOLS!!!! We are on our way back to the top and CDD will take us there!!!!!

Everyday is a great day to be a Vol....I'm happy with this years class. Anyone who isn't needs to do some soul searching as we haven't been relevant in the last 10 years or so......Dooley is the man (at least well on the way)

EXACTLY! We had an incredible day.

I am now convinced people are just morons.

F'n complaining. take a look at our roster from this past season, and now look at who we signed and what positions we signed

Put me in this camp. I think Dooley and his staff did an exceptional job with the 2011 class.

Right on. I'd rate this class a solid A, all things considered. Sure I was hoping for an A+ and if we'd landed even one of the Big 3 we were in on, then we'd be right there, but I'm not going to p*** and moan about an A either.

AGREED!!! I'm glad someone is choosing to be optimistic here. All these negative nancies who wanna bithc and moan about today's disappointments need to ****. acting like a bunch of 12 year old girls who santa forgot to bring a motherf*n pony. I'm proud of CDD and this class!
I said it's great to be a Tennessee VOL!!!

Dooley says last year the team was little and slow. This year he wanted recruits that were big and fast. Example he gave was LB's Harris and Johnson weigh 245 and 235 lbs and have speed. Last year out heaviest LB weighed 225 lbs.

He gets it. Bye-bye to the Chavis theory of LBs being fast and small.

Always a Great Day to be a VOL! Quality kids that will be around and continue to build this program the right way.

This class has a lot of talent and can't wait to see us on the field this Fall! :eek:k: :good!:

It is always a great day to be a Vol. Those last 4 of Moore, Clear, Maggitt, and Richardson were huge. This overall is still a great class. Just setting up the stage for an even better 2012 class. 2012 will be Top 5 Class IMO.

100% agree....it's always great to be a Vol and call ROCKY TOP home! Kudos to Dooley and staff for putting together this class...really looks like we got solid players on the field and 'good kids' off! Looking forward to seeing all these guys in Orange!!

2012 recruiting season should be bigger and better!
