Who in this class do you see providing immediate contribution?

I'm thinking Kamara for sure and McKenzie will probably see many snaps. I also think an EE like Jack Jones might have a chance to sneak in at RT, but maybe Richmond can take that spot. The biggest question is can Blair get it done at LT, if not then we may be in trouble and have two freshmen tackles. Although I felt that Kendrick did a decent job, but yet he didn't seem to get the minutes that some of the other guys did. I can also see Kirkland starting at MLB.

It would be great if Justin Martin came in and earned a position, but it might be tough with Emmanuel Mosley having gained a year of experience and time spent in an SEC S&C program.

What do you guys think? I think the good news is that these guys for the most part will have to beat someone out to get on the field instead of just automatically starting like some of the guys from the last recruiting cycle. I do see several on the d-line contributing, but it sure is going to be hard to crack the DE rotation.

I think every 5 & 4 star will be in the 2 deep by mid-season except for Sapp, Abernathy, Taylor, and Butcher.

well ideally we are kicking a lot of PATs, so I'm going to go with Lovingood. We might have to punt once or twice a game too.

I'm so pleased with everything Butch and his staff have done. They filled every single need and you really couldn't ask for anything else at this point.

That being said, I can't wait to see what Kamara does. I forsee him pushing Hurd and both becoming NFL caliber RB's.

I could see a lot of them having immediate impact -- not necessarily as starters, but here are the Freshmen I have on a strawman two-deep:

OLine: Jack Jones, Drew Richmond, Venzell Boulware, Zach Stewart
Wide Receiver: Preston Williams
Running Back: Alvin Kamara
Quarterback: Jauan Jennings (backup to Dobbs)

DLine: Kahlil McKenzie, Shy Tuttle, Kyle Phillips, Andrew Butcher, Darrell Taylor
Linebacker: Quart'e Sapp, Darrin Kirkland Jr.
DBack: Justin Martin

So that's 15 freshmen who could see playing time from the very first game of 2015 ... a couple of them could even start, as you mentioned. But I think most will be in the two-deep rotation behind upper class starters.

Nice first post. Do it more often. :hi:

McKenzie and Kamara are obviously the two that jump out at you. That said I think Kirkland may end up being the best MLBer we've had in a while. No disrespect to AJ.

I think a lot or all of the linemen may have an opportunity to help immediately. I'm excited for Kamara as well. I think him and Hurd will complement each other very well and be one of the best two headed rushing attacks in the SEC.

The word "sick" thrown around a lot there. Gotta agree.

Today was a very good day to be a Tennessee Vol

In the "celebration" event that just live-streamed, Coach Jancek in particular noted "several" members of the new class on defense will have a chance to make an immediate impact. (he may have said "quite a few" instead of several, but same-same)

Which recruits do you think we'll see play early on this season?

I'm going with Big Mac and Richmond.
Big Mac at the very least is going to make stars out of the rest of our D-line by drawing double teams and we just need all the help we can get on the O-line.
No, I'm not a coach. It's just my opinion.
