Stanford is Shaw's alma mater and dream job. Not that different from Gundy, except Shaw doesn't feign interest in a different program every year in order to get a raise.

Though, I find it perplexing that people keep harping on the fact that Tee has no head coach experience, but keep pointing out other coaches who took their current positions with no head coach experience. Shaw was not a head coach before Stanford. Exact same age that Tee is now when he took over.
