You can't expect a baby to be born and start running around the hospital. We are young and growing and the best part is that you can see that we are growing. You won't be back my face. As soon as TN beats a couple of teams they aren't supposed to you'll be right back in the stands. And that's the definition of a bandwagon fan.

Per this thread: what positive things did you take from this game? We lost and it blows my mind that Dooley played several close games with talent no where equivalent to what we have as recruits!

I would like to gauge the mentality and education level of the fans that agree with this thread.

Please send me a message if you would like to bet on the rest of this season. I will go with a total of 4 victories. For you die hard fans put your money where your heart is!!!!

I donate more than your left #$# and I am sick of the decline in this program. 2 prime time games and both more than 2 touchdowns.

I challenge you to 3 questions:
1) How many years is acceptable?
2) Are you still a Dooley fan after a 3-9 year?
3) what happens when we lose to Fla, Ala, SC over these next 3 years?

who said anything about a moral victory? we lost the game but most of us are proud of the way our team was commited to giving their all. we will be alright...it will just take a little time. chin up

This coming from a guy that has a golf pic has his profile. You were on the golf course while the real fans were watching the game. I will put any amount of money you want that the VOLS we win more then 4 games. They had heart today and that's more than they had last week so much improved!

To answer your questions:

1. 2-3 years
2. Dooley's first year, I'm smart enough not to blame him for the mess he was left to clean up
3. In year three I'm pissed, not so much the next two if they show improvement and appear to be on their way back to relevance.

First of all, willing to bet I have more degrees than you do. Still not sure what formal education has to so with evaluating a football game though. Also not sure where you have been the last few years when this team's predecessors both drove this program into the ground AND lost to Florida while doing so.

I saw a hard fought game where our team of young, inexperienced players gave the number seven team in the country ll they could want and then some. We keep playing like that and the W's will follow. And you will be back on board talking a out how much you love the vols.

I was disappointed at how we finished last week. We have nothing to be ashamed of today. We got beat through 4 quarters by a more athletic and deeper team. These freshmen will remember these lessons when they are leading this team.

I guess we can be proud of the fact that we didn't quit? I don't know. I will say that this team looked competitive and might have had a chance to win with a better QB at the helm (nothing against Simms personally, but he's just not very good).

1. 2 years after this is unacceptable
2. yes. Not that it's going to happen, but Dooley doesn't exactly have a lot to work with and he is doing pretty good with what he has.
3. Dooley gets fired.

All of these questions deal with a future that you or I don't know whats going to happen in. If you are still pissed at the performance after Dooley's 3rd year that's fine and Dooley will pay for it.

To expect this team to come out and play like a top 5 team all the sudden is expecting to much. We played a couple of hard games and we will be better for it. You knew what kind of mess we were in when you donated that ball money. That's your fault.

I'm with the majority here. I'm very proud that the team didn't give up. I hate a Tennessee loss as much as the next fan, but the one thing I hate more than that is when they team give up. They didn't do that today, and for that I am proud to be a fan.
