Ok so I've been on Volnation for four years now and apparently I've been considered a big time "Sunshine Pumper" cause I support my team with a positive attitude. On the other hand, some posters are considered "Negavols" if they're really negative about our team whether they don't like some of the players or the coaches. I honestly feel Volnation would be so much simple if we all respected each other's opinion but still be considered true UT fans. I know this is a message board to discuss UT Athletics but anymore in every single thread, it's always World War ||| fixing to start against the Negavols and Sunshine Pumpers. Butch is not a great coach and still don't think he needs to be here but I hope he has a great 2017 season where he can save his job! I think he's made some good necessary coaching changes. Not great but good. I don't ever want to see Butch fail and I don't want to wish that upon him. Let's all support our team as a whole fanbase for once, please! Go Vols!

Every fanbase has the same. Josh Pastner used to refer to them as "Positive Pauls" and "Negative Nancys". CBJ says some stupid things, but at least he has never said that...yet.

To the op: Many posters enjoy their keyboard combat, they're just not going to stop and it has little to do with their opinion.
Calling out negavols after a win or posting the nastiest comments you can come up with about staff/class randomly, isn't offering your thoughts. It's intential jabs to start the strife.

It's their thing. May as well ask them to find entirely new hobies.

Well while we're at it , I'm tired of hearing sports media say CBJ is on the hot seat, it has a negative effect on our recruiting. :question: It's dog eat dog out there.

Yes, there needs to be a third group who can't be thrown in with either extreme.

They don't pump sunshine during the tornado but they don't tell you the sky is falling when you put together a winning season despite dozens of injured players.

Introducing...

Metavols.

Not negas, not sunshine pumpers.

Nah, nevermind. Just saw that metavols are a type of field mice and also the name of a device that makes measuring the volume of tumors easy.

Go Vols! Beat tech.

There is a group of fans on Volnation that's getting in the way of UT landing top recruits.

Their comments get in the way of us getting top coaches.

They also impact the way the rest of us Vol fans are perceived by the general public.

They impact our current players and coaches.

The time has come that these few posters on Volnation discontinue with their current ways and join the rest if us.

Bahahahahahahha it's the fans fault our recruiting sucks? I'm sure it has nothing to do with an underachieving coach! It has to be the fans!

The media concludes he's on the hot seat from the fans who have unrealistic expectations. Butch will get the job done.
