I'm still rooting for you, Crompton!

This is hilarious. People on this very board make so much fun of other teams fans, when we (generalizing obviously) are acting worse than jort wearing gator fans and well bama fans even. This is bad and it shows that we are so ignorant (again generalizing) in this state, region, and country. Kills me to see such ignorance.

I wish I was as smart as you.

i honestly believe that there are at least two dozen ex-high school quarterbacks on the knoxville campus who could suit up and look no worse than crompton.

p.s.: as for backing j.c., i would never make a personal remark against him. i presume he's a good kid, but this is business. when you consider what the athletic program requires of its fans, they've got every right to criticize embarassing ineptitude by its athletes.

I'll back him till the end. All these people on message boards (including me) judge the players everyday but in reality we dont know what half the stuff they go through. This includes the physical and mental aspect as well but the he needs only postives from Vol fans no matter what. Ill back him if he plays like an All American or a middle schooler. Hes the one wearing Orange and White and hes on our side. Either way I hope Crompton will find himself and turn this around.

How could you not support Crompton or any Tennessee Volunteer? Do you wish for him to do awful? He surely isn't the most talented quarterback in UT history, but I could never pull my support for a kid that wears the orange "T's" on his helmet on Saturdays. It is easy to get frustrated when a guy does bad...and I have been frustrated with Cromton....but I do support him. That is what being a Tennessee Volunteer fan is all about.

I'm all for supporting our players, and I don't believe that running them into the ground is a good idea, but I also won't act like I'm overjoyed at the fact that we have him in there. I tried hard to believe that he had changed, but he just doesn't have it in him.

It was like a light switch turned off after he missed the receiver that was wide open in the middle and could have taken it easily for a touchdown. He lost my support to be our QB when heading into our final drive and the camera was on him you could see him shaking his head. He didn't want the ball and he didn't want the game to be in his hands. He isn't the leader that we need on offence, and I truly believe he doesn't have the mentality to win.

Go Vols!

i can't root for crompton. him coming to tennessee has set us back ten years. with that being said, i don't know if i have it in me to make a 7 1/2 hour round trip, 50 bucks for gas, 50 bucks for the ticket, 25 bucks to park, and an arm and a leg for a drink and a hot dog until crompton is no longer part of this team. hopefully time will change my mind but right now i just can't see makin that trip again this year.

I guarantee crompton will get a standing ovation on senior day. Can't wait. The end of the worse qb to ever wear orange and the biggest recruiting bust ever.
