I love the way the team played today. They were prepared. Staff did an excellent job. We are headed in the right direction. I don't always agree with everything CLK says, but I like what he's doing with the team. I feel he'll learn the "talking part" as he goes. I didn't like his comments after the game. Sounded a lot like Urban Creyer. But, if we play like this for him, I'll learn to live with it. I guess I'm just too old school. P.S. Our fans need to quit crying, it's embarrassing. GO VOLS!!

Sold? What took so long?

The unity, discipline, and preparedness of this team should've already given it away.

I was just thinking the same thing! They can recruit, they are coaching against the best staffs in the country, and the players never quit. When was the last time we were not blown out at least once by this time of year? Outstanding job!

I felt as if we should have been 5-1 coming into this game. But, today's game was a turning point I feel. I now feel if we were to play UCLA and Auburn again, we'd win. I didn't feel like that until today. JMO.

Agreed -- I love this staff.

I was thinking - how many Players in the NFL for Bama next year? How many for Tennessee? Who is coaching the best?

Welcome aboard the Lane Train! It is moving forward fast! We hung with them toe to toe for four quarters with much less depth! Bama and everyone else in the SEC should be humbled a bit.

A+ rating in my opinion. Ya know, there were times tonight when I actually wondered what Lane was going to do. Its been a long time since I had to guess what the play call would be (well maybe its never happened). An unpredictable and gutsy coach (but not foolish). Man, going for it on 2 fourth down plays (thats blasphemous in TN). Yeah, good staff.

I'll give you credit for the admission. I think that BigPapa is on to something. The game has definitely slowed down a bit for Crompton.

I was in Oxford today and watched most of the game in the Grove. Let me tell you they don't want any part of us.

This staff has us playing at a very high level. I know we're sick about the finish today but we can play with anybody in the nation. The rest of the conference is dreading the day when CLK get his recruits in Kville!!!!

I agree and disagree. I agree that there's not a whole lot the staff can do about our missed field goals today. That will get better. The line didn't block and Lincoln's kicks are too low. But, our kickoff team has our best athletes on it and they have given up too many returns this year. They are not staying in there lanes and that's coaching. Even EB gets sucked inside too much and has let a couple of returns around his end. But, Gran is known as a very good ST's coach, so I think he'll get them fixed.

I still think we are slow down the field. Athleticism does play a part...but we aren't very disciplined with our lanes.

We played the #1 team on the road twice this year and gave them both the toughest game of the year.

Too bad we couldn't close the deal with UCLA and Auburn or we might be the highest ranks two loss team in the country.

Let's not forget Cunningham's lack of height on regular kickoffs and lack of depth on pooch kicks. Speed means nothing if return man is catching line drive on the 7 or fair catching a pooch at the 38.

The two worst kickers in memory for this lifetime Vol fan.

What comments after the game did CLK make that you thought sounded like "Urban Cryer?" I just read all of the post game comments and didn't see him whining or making any excuses. If anyone sounded like Urban Cryer, it was Nick Saban, talking about how "Tired" his team was in this game....

I agree I love this staff

I loved Phil too but I just think his message had gotten stale...after too long in one place it happens...my Titans are going through the same thing right now

The coaches have the players pumped and their opponents have no clue how to counter this momentum.

That makes sense considering Berry was playing special teams on a few kick off returns. Hope this facet of our team improves the rest of the year and in the future with better recruiting. Thank you for replying.

I've actually seen Berry take bad angles and miss important tackles on special teams twice now...

most people were sold before the game tonight. We got a huge upgrade from the last staff
