I'm Sick to My Stomach

the officiating was horrible in that game. Do you really thing they were gonna let OSU lose that game?? They really bailed OSU out on more than one occassion, especially their last play and sent them to the line. I know Connelly is a good player but how does he shoot 13 foul shots and Lofton not shoot one?? Lofton drove it several times and ended up on his rear. no whistle. Pearl said in the press conference "I find it interesting that Connelly shoots 13 foul shots and number 5 for tennessee doesnt even go to the line. Ya know, last time i checked number 5 for Tennessee was a pretty darn good player. I just find it interesting." All OSU had to do was look like they received contact and a whistle was waiting on them. They would not let our guys play D that second half. All they talked about all night was greg oden and from what i seen he didnt do jack crap but sit on the bench. If hes a freshman i'm the pope, he looks to be about 40 yrs old. Ohio State and the whole Big Ten is wayyyyy overrated. It makes me mad that they had to play 7 on 5 the whole 2nd half.

I had the Pittsburgh/Ucla game on and at halftime when they switched to the TN game I was like wow we look great, they showed 6 minutes maybe then it was halftime and they went back to the pitt game and I fell asleep and woke up at 3:00a.m tryin to find a score (computer broke) found it and was like I dont believe it I'm dreamin and I couldn't back to sleep. I guess life goes on and I continue to support the vols how could I be a bandwagon fan that is so lame. I love coach Pearl he's done alot for the program and our bb is only going to continue to get better.

Give it up, wesc. The game was called evenly, if not a little ticky tack for my tastes.

Exactly...officiating didn't cause us not to win....I too was physically ill last night, left BWW and told my wife to get a ride home (she stayed till the bitter end, I left w/ 3 min left knowing what was fixing to happen). The only good news is that we have a coach that can take us where we deserve to be. They say that things that don't kill you will make you stronger...I'm just glad my guns were locked up last night. We will come back from this...

Now that UT is good at basketball, I find I do not have the same interest in the tourney after we are knocked out.

no kidding...I have no intention of watching a single game left in the tourney, I've even managed, so far, to avoid newspapers, ESPN, and any other sports talk shows.

I woulda walked in there with a pre-emptive strike of..."shut the f up...and anybody that relies on me for a job had better be busy today"

A hard liner buckeye fan actually said he thought the rim was too tight. He said the Bucks couldn't hit in the first and Tennessee couldn't hit in the second.

As nutty as that sounds, I actually thought about that last night. Both teams sure did shoot better on the other end.

I did notice that once. Chism (I think it was him, anyway) didn't even go out of bounds to throw the ball back in play.

I noticed that too. If they weren't illegal, they were extremely close.

Word. OSU deserves some cred for slowing the game down, drawing contact, getting to the line, and knocking down FT's. This KILLED us.

When the pace was up, things were money. As soon as Conley drew his second trip to the line down 9, I started to worry.

As for the other stuff, VIA, I feel your pain. A little more icing on this cake of a season would have been grand.

I plan on consoling myself by rooting against Memphis tomorrow night.

root against Memphis.....is that the only thing you can do? take uout your frustrations on Cal? why not question your own coach not calling time outs to stop the OSU onslought of offense and defense...sure you are sad....probably rooted for T A&M too last night...were you afraid to lose to the Tigers in the Elite 8? Having a Vol wife and a kid in school at UT next year...and always being a true blue Tiger fan...I actually found myself rooting for the Vols last night...but something like is apparently way too mature for you my friend...

At least a couple were illegal, and the ref was right there watching it. Still, that's not one of those infractions that gives you an advantage when clearly everyone on D has already gone back to the other end.
