I'm saying it now. Dobbs needs over 100 yards rushing to beat the turds

He has to bring that element in order for us to win. Last year he played brilliantly. But his running opens up Hurd and the offense. He can't play like he has against that D. I think we win I'm just waiting to see what team shows up. This is our year though!! And our defense worries me. We'll have to score 35 points because I don't see us holding the turds under 30. OMG I'm ready!!!

They need to open up the damn playbook. After watching this game I am convinced Debord "naps" during most of the game.

Yup. Dobbs will have to be ran into the ground. And. He has to hit those deep passes. There will be plenty of 1 vs 1. And like Malone vs anyone. I don't care if it's Tabor. You take that shot.

We need 400 yards of offense, -2 or better on turnovers, no more than 3 big plays allowed, and much better return game play.

The run will open up the passing game. Because if not they will pick Dobfbs2sd -3 times.

Dobbs needs to hold a clipboard for us to beat Florida. With his passing issues they are going to eat up whatever running game we can muster. We're toast with his shortcomings and Debords's play calling.

It all comes down to the O-line. They have a solid game then the Vols will win. As of now, it's on to the girls of Florida thread

Well I'm expecting them to turn Dobbs over at least once. That's a given. But the other turnovers will depend on how the offense is run. I'm so ready for the game. Because we have what it takes. We've been better the last two years!!!

Florida fans, as uneducated a bunch of fans as have ever existed, knows that Dobbs running is the key. So I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest our coaches may be thinking along those lines, too.

it's the only dimension we have on offense, i'd expect FL to sell out to stop it. and make TN find any other way to beat them offensively. and thus far, we've not show to be consistent enough at really anything to warrant even a raised hair on their neck.

He doesn't need 100 yards. What he needs is to inspire everyone one around him to play better than they actually are. You do this by making them believe you would gladly bleed for every one of them, and showing this in your play on the field.

Agree...if you run the read option the QB is gonna have to have a dozen carries or else the D will just camp out on the RB...

He won't get it. For whatever reason, DeBord refuses to run read options with Dobbs. This is his greatest strength and I have rarely seen us use the read option the first few weeks.

I don't think he's saving it either. It's going to be a personal, hard hitting, defensive game, with lots of situational stuff. We all know they are going to key off on Dobbs. If they don't open up that playbook then he'll be shot. And they need to do it in the first quarter.

Now that I have had a week to think. We can't expect Dobbs to blossom all of a sudden against the #1 defense. It's up to the running game and the coaches. Istill have hope!!
