Im ready to see what Pruitt is going to do with this defense

I think we will see these players finally play up to their potential on defense next year .. Tyler Byrd is going to be moved to either safety or corner where he should’ve been when he first got here .

Can't wait to see this defense continue to get steamrolled as they take 2 to 3 years and a couple of recruiting cycles to actually try to implement a 3-4.

Worked out really well last time UT went down this road.

Shamburger & Byrd are going to kill it next year mark my words !! Shamburger was in position on mostly every play that he was targeted but just wasn’t strong & physical enough ... I think Pruitt is going to coach this kid up to be a baller ....

You're not that rare IMO.. I love seeing a good defense shut a team down. Most of our most memorable players are defensive players. In my era anyway

Pruitt will rebuild our defense the same way he did UGA's.

Before he took over Georgia their defense was ranked 45th. His first year they were ranked 17th, and his 2nd year they were ranked 7th.

The area he'll improve the most is our secondary. Before he took over Georgia's defense they were ranked 60th. 1st season under Pruitt 5th, 2nd season ranked 1st.

It does if you're defense can get off the field on 3rd down. That didn't happen much for this year's UT squad.

This is absolutely a great read.

Couple of points...

"When former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart left to become a head coach late last season, Saban made only one call to replace him. There weren't any interviews other than Pruitt, he said. Saban called it a "no-brainer." Both Michigan and USC wanted to fly the 42-year-old hotshot coordinator in for interviews"

--The best in CFB right now backs him, and even brought him back after he left for FSU and a stop at UGA. That being said Saban would NEVER bring back Kiffin.

"I think that Nick knew from the get-go that if he asked Jeremy's opinion he would give it to him. Not disrespectful, but if he asks him he'll give it to him. ... He has his own ideas, and they're very close to Coach Saban."

--If he is unwilling to backdown from Saban, I think he will hold his own with anyone that might come knocking with their own ideas.

"It's easy to take Pruitt for granted, but only a fool would do so. Saban trusted him to help build Alabama for a reason, and he didn't bring him back this year out of the kindness of his heart.

Pruitt has shown that he knows what he's doing, and at this rate it won't be long until he's leading a program of his own."

--He should be the one leading Tennessee next.
