What I find funny is everyone wants to point to USM as the track record if this great plan, why not look at the other place he walked into and used this plan?

Won 12 games year 1, 15 games year 2 and in year 3 won 20 games and made the NCAAT for the first time.

Let me apologize in advance if my hopes for Tennessee are greater than that.

Yep took 3 years to return a team to the NCAA that had n't smelt in 25 years and won 4 games the season before he got there.
Epic failure.

Let's face it. Martin and Tyndall use a completely opposite system. These recruits signed up for one and it may be a great thing for us because they may not be a great fit for a full court press system. I bet we land some rangy, scrappy players now who will be great in it.

Got a good feeling about this guy. Might have to nick name him Ice Cube, cause he's so cool!!! LOL . Comes across as sincere, and the man wants to be here, and wants players that want the same. Some of this like he says is player feeling out their options!! He doesn't seems to have a problem with it. So I guess I don't either!!! More I hear him the better I feel!!:good!:

Not really worried either. Seems like a striking similarity in regards to regime change between Martin:Tyndall and Dooley:Butch.

I suppose he could have taken a team that went to the NCAAs 6 straight years and take 3 years to get them back there via a play in game. I guess that would be very successful... :bad:

You cant infer future results good or bad based on either morehead or usm. Every situation is unique. You however can predict that there is at least a good chance that he will be successful here based on his two previous stops where he used his template to rebuild both programs.

Or took a USM team that had made the NCAAT and led them to 2 straight NCAAT, job well done.

Why don't you try? Tell us how bad the previous staff was. Is Tyndall's plan to take over an ncaa tourny team, recruit a bunch of 2 star juco players and lose in the second round of the NIT 2 years in a row. Like he did at Southern Miss?

I'm going to assume you meant NIT, the resume the last two years was better than ours this year. Switch team names and use the RPI/Record of USM the past two years and they are a #4-6 seed.

When you win 25 games and have a top 30ish RPI and don't make it, it's not really your fault.

Between the whiners and haters, at my last count he is 2 for 2 on new recruits. But please don't let me confuse you with the facts.

Your a freakin genius Gump. Let's completely ignore his awful conference tournament winning percentage, his awful ncaa and nit tourny winning percentage and concentrate on RPI. Genius!!! Utter and total genius. In actuality Southern Miss was more deserving of the national championship then UCONN. Because they had a higher RPI. We hired a national championship coach.

He's actually 2 for 2 for 2. 2 visits, 2 recruits, both 2 stars.
Is this the new common core math? Lose 8-9 3 star or better players. And replace them with 2 star players.

Southern Miss managed a top 30 RPI with their schedule the last two years, so it was apparently good enough. :thumbsup:

They were 2-1 vs the top 50, 5-4 vs the top 100. We also won 5 games vs the top 100 and only had 1 win over the top 50. They lost 2 games to sub 100 teams, we lost 3 games to sub 100 teams.

Why do they matter when we both had the same top 100 wins, they had more top 50, we had more bad losses too. Their RPI was 15 or so spots higher than ours. It was BS that they were left out and we could have played the exact same schedule, went 25-6, had 2 top 50 and 5 top 100 wins with a #29 RPI and I'd guarantee you we'd get a fairly high seed/at large bid.
