Georgia had some Freshmen step up: the receiver with the Hamstring and Crowell. Lane, Rivera and Young looked good. Austin Johnson, Malik and Smith showed but Georgia opened some big holes. Trying to force Stone to his right hand is a problem. Z. Rogers looks like he is in over his head. Still no quit. Georgia's raw talent was till better but they are not a very good team as showed by their holding fugue. It it what it is. Bray's emotion cost us a delay of game. A. Foster suddenly looks a lot better. The Vols are still rebuilding in trenches.

Young? We got beat by Freshmen running back & receiver and a sophomore quarterback

I believe the bulldogs have more then 2 or 3 seniors starting we dont.and i'm pretty sure they have more then 2 starters that returned for there defence we dont.we are alot younger then them and it shows.

Really? I could have sworn I saw 11 GA players on the field. I guess none of the other 9 GA players were Jrs or seniors either, not that it would make any difference. It will be interesting to see how they do against the Gators. Speaking of, glad to see them get spanked.

WELL, I for one am tired of seeing my vols continue on the downward spiral that we are on. I played for the Orange in the late 90's. And it seems like the Recruits that come in, are highly recruited and thats where they stay. They dont seem to improve like we did back in the day. The past 4 or 5 years has been hard for me to stomach. I try and watch them every sat, when Im not busy with other "Football" duties. But man, this is just BAD. I love my extended family on the hill, but maybe the Recruiting Guru's at Rivals and Scout just dont know what they are talking about. Seems like we get GOOD recruits, but they dont evolve into GOOD players. Dont know, maybe its just Im used to the old System at UT. I havent spoke to Dooley in person, but he seems like hes doing a Good job, but I think our schemes are alittle "OFF". We need to go back to the way it used to be, RUN THE FOOTBALL. I know we cant do that rite now, but we got to teach them boys to get mean, and beat the man in front of you on a consistent basis. Thats all I got for now.

dude,,we suck.

the most unprepared i have ever seen.

I will be happy once we have had enough "time" for our players to grow up and our coaches to coach them up so that we can win a conference game :loco:

Come on November

I guess you are --BLIND--. Do you not know we have mostly freshman & sophmores playing? Do you really expect them to play like seniors with 4 yrs experience? Do you not think losing our best offense player (Hunter) is a big blow to this young team? Let's look to the future since you're on the verge of committing hairy-carey. Should this team really be expected to beat #1 LSU and #2 Bama, since no one else in the country has? Not to mention that Bray's injury might be really bad. Get real!

enough excuses already.

Things Takes Time. With Zero Run and Zero Pass Rush combined with Zero Secondary it's gonna make for a long season. We'll take the lumps, We'll gain valuable experience and We'll be better for it.

Everyone needs to just chill. :good!:

GBO!
You summed it up brilliantly. These are my thoughts too

Brother, I didnt say anything bad, and I wasnt rude to anyone of here, Im just stating facts. Besides I think I know alittle bit about Football. Played my entire life and still do. If you havent been in the heat of battle in a game, then dont blab off at the gums. I play in the trenches, so I know alittle bit about football. And when you lose your best player(Hunter), you pick up your jock strap and you go smash somebody in the MOUTH. You get mad. I dont see this team getting mad. Besides there is other teams that are as young as we are. Im not saying that we are world beaters, but you should be fundementaly SOUND. Know your blocking schemes. There was several times that guys just stood around and watched. That DIDNT happen when I played on the hill. You got your A** RAN TO DEATH!. Have you ever run Neylands steps? I would say NO. If you didnt perform or made mistakes over and over, you RAN TIL YOU PUKED.

So, you got anything else smart guy?

I'm not upset either, I knew it going to be a close game, but I thought we was better than that tho'. The Bulldogs taking advantage of Vols' mistakes as I expected it, we will be okay, the Vols is rebuilding & it going to take time to be a good team like in early 90's.

Freshman and sophomores should be able to snap the ball and convert extra points.

All the same, I'm not calling out Dooley and I understand the position we are in. It just sucks. I keep waiting to feel like we're getting better, and maybe we are, but everytime I think we're starting to make progress there's another kick in the balls five seconds later.

Yeah, I have to agree with the centering mistakes. I don't know, you have to trust the coaches with them changing Stone's centering techniques but if he was okay before then why make the change? Would like to say Palardy is getting better but he takes 1 step forward then 1 backward. Glad to see special teams doing better though because we had been awful the last 3 years or more.

On defense, GA's best player was out and replaced by a 2nd string player. We had a senior RB and finished with NEGATIVE 20 yards rushing. TN got out-coached not out-seniored!

We are young...still have a ways to go. I believe in DD and I'm proud to be a Vol. You d-bags who want to b*tch and moan need to grow up. We are what we are. A work in progress

Work in progress??? This is the same crap as last year, same type of mistakes made all year. I like Dooley, but then again I liked Buzz peterson as well. How many games are we into the season, and we still can' t get the ball snapped to the QB. We can't even manage to kick a PAT. The flaws I 'm seeing on our team, are coaching problems, there is a disconnect somewhere, maybe CDD doesn't know HOW to coach special team. Maybe he belongs at LA tech.?.? I dunno but personally I'm sick of seeing the same Sh**T every saturday. Poor fundamentals, missed blocking assignments, poor ST play. poor coaching.

the excuses really need to stop....

Young? The best programs get young and still at least having winning records.

I'll take Alabama and LSU with a young team over Tennessee with a veteran team.

Thanks, Im alittle banged up rite now. Guys dont take my comments the wrong way. I think we are on the rite path, but TN football has always been about RUNNING THE BALL. Look at when we beat florida, we always run the ball. I know Heinstad is a good coach. I just dont understand why they cant DRIVE BLOCK. They are Big young men. They just dont look like they get angry. Arent we one of the biggest lines in the country? And stone will work through the snapping issue, just ask wellsy. Hes had problems in the past too. lol Fat A** lol

Yeah, I don't claim to have as much experience as you but I did play football for 2 years in HS in TN, tackle, so don't let your mouth run off. Usually we got the crap beat out of us because we were a very small school, 24 players total. That didn't mean we didn't give max effort. You played offense and defense every down. Did you play offense and defense every down? Now, please, tell me about conditioning.
