Im not too worried about UF

I know this is probably just another convenient opportunity for you to throw that bit about Dobbs out there...

However, I'm not sure how any sane person could have watched the OU game and not understood why Worley was the starter AND a better choice to start than Dobbs.

I like Dobbs. But his inability to stay in the pocket and complete passes down field is a fatal weakness in UT's O right now against ANY quality D. UF certainly has a quality D.

But also, Jones is all but sure to attempt to "manage" this game. I'll be jumping for joy if I'm wrong and he doesn't go conservative.

But I've just given you two very good reasons to suspect this game will be competitive... and that's assuming that UF's O doesn't have more success vs UT's D than we now believe.

If I see Butch pull out the Fulmer playbook again going super conservative I'll be screaming and first one to say start warming the seat. I've waited serval years to get away from that mentality and get a coach that has a pair--prove it!

Volunteers, traditionally, love to fight. All real Volunteers love the sting of battle... Tennessee loves a winner, and will not tolerate a loser. Tennessee plays to win all the time! We wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost, and laughed... Because the very thought of losing -- is hateful to Vols. Vol Army is a team. Now those who wrote about us about losing in Gainesville don't know anything more about real battle than they know about fornicating.

We have the best equipment and the best spirit and the best men in the world. Your know, actually I, pity those poor bastards we're going up against, by God, I do.

"We're not just going to beat the bastards; we're going to run out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of our buses. We're going to tire out those lousy gator bastards by the bushel."

*not to be taken as threats -- c'mon man.

Y'all are worrying about nothing. Did you see the Washington/St. Louis game today? Matt Jones was running wild. Florida had more players drafted than just about every team in the SEC. And yet they still only beat us 10-9 with our best QB watching the game.

If we closed a 24 point margin with Oklahoma in one year to a double OT game, then I'm sure we can close a 1 point margin against Florida.

The game will be over after 3 quarters. 27-10 Tennessee.

Georgia is the next real game we play.

I agree that is the way it should be this year.

However, I predicted we would steam roll Oklahoma. We should have won that game by two TDs or more.

But, we didn't.

It is Judgment Day on the Butch Jones offense, possibly on Butch Jones on Saturdays, possibly on Butch Jones full stop. I think we probably should win by double digits, but I will be happy with a 1-point win.

Victory is the only thing worth a damn though. Butch has got to put the Gators away. Zero tolerance for excuses after another loss in the Swamp.

I'm just gonna throw this out there, you realize that we had a 14 point lead on OK and managed to throw that away in the last quarter. The game will be over when the game is over. It's college football, no lead is safe.

If the florida game comes down to coaching and strategy, we're in trouble and the streak continues.

dude, actually you're wrong. mcelwain has NO coaching experience in the sec, and our guys have had only one cupcake this year. so allow some real coaching; butch knows he made a mistake on that 4th&1 and won't make it again. we all know he wants it back. we're only 3 games in buddy.:eek:k:

I think it's funny that when I say coaching and strategy, you think I mean one decision to not go for it on 4th down. But you're right, the season has just begun. I'll be rooting for the team no doubt, I just don't think they'll get much help from this staff.

BG would probably beat UF, the rest of his post was silly though

LOL not a chance. The UF secondary is elite as it gets. They would not be getting torched like our DBs did. UFs DL is better than ours and would have sacked Johnson much more. UF aint Memphis.

Yeah so apparently you dont know anything about McElwain. No coaching experience in the SEC? Google is your friend.

Last time I checked Alabama was in the SEC.

UF sucks pretty badly we will just suck more. ECU, who is a terrible team have UF all they wanted . BG would as well. And so would Memphis

The OK game was thought to be over in the 3rd quarter also. :cray: Sorry, I believed this kind of stuff too many times with Florida. Florida has a Psychological edge on us like we use to on Kentucky and Vandy. I will believe our win over Florida when the game is over and we have more points on the scoreboard. Just being real........:hi:

It never started. It actually lives in the same place that all these "I'm not too worried about Florida, Vols will win-book it, Florida has no chance, saving plays for the real games, and soon....." live.

Rainbowland....

Servers will crash and mattresses will burn.

I know. I almost feel like Butch's ultimate fate hangs in the balance with this game. If he loses here, and then next week to Arky, it is going to be very reminiscent of one Derek Dooley.

Let's not get carried away here. I would love to see it as much as the next guy, but we are far from guaranteed wins over anyone. Especially Florida. It has been 10 years.

Happens every year and happens every week. This year it seems to be this kid's turn to blindly throw **** out there with the hopes they will actually be right. One day they will eventually be right and hopefully its this week........but I wouldnt bet on it.

Not true. He will be here several more years no matter what happens.

Exactly, Florida is terrible. I bet bowling green would beat them. We are so much better this year that we might even come close to beating Alabama. Dobbs can still make a run at the heisman, no doubt.

There is a better chance that he will lose the starting job than his winning the Heisman. Barring injury that ain't gonna happen

It took Majors 5 years to win 8 games.
Anyone have the patience for that?
Doubt it in the age of instant everything.

I have a bad feeling it's going to be a LONG, LONG day for Dobbs and company. Dobbs blows as a downfield passer. His somewhat elusiveness simply masks the putrid OL that we have.

Think this will be low scoring, like first one to 17 wins.

But I think Tennessee will somehow find a way to lose and continue to live up to its motto: "Snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!"

The battered psyche of UT football is prolonged yet again.

17-16 - Gators

It is on full display in this post, that's for sure.

If we lose to Arky, things are bad! The SEC as a whole is over rated this year. The three teams that are in line rating wise are Ole Miss, A&M, then Georgia. I list Georgia last because I think they are a few spots to high right now.

Im just picking a score based on both teams. Right Now Tennessee is just all around better than Florida right now. Yall have the better Defense but our Defense isnt sorry just ask Baker Mayfield. Im not picking a score off of "the streak" or the "Tennessee Curse"

Until UT wins one I cannot pick them to win or even allow myself to think there is the slightest chance of a happy outcome. I let myself think they might do it in 2012 and had no doubt they would last season. Those two games are the only ones that actually hurt since I was a kid.
