Im not too worried about UF

Why do people still make stupid predictions based off nothing regarding the Florida game?? Unless you just became a Vol fan this year, how could you have unwavering confidence that we win this game this year?

I sure hope we do, and we may be by far the best team on paper, but it's ludicrous to be so brash about it as if it's a done deal. I thought we'd win last year, ..."

And yet, we were good enough to win last year. We didn't get it done. But we competed pretty evenly with them.

Why would that be some kind of evidence that we cannot go head to head with them this year?

I think every year is a fresh start, and this team of ours is averaging 46 pts a game. Bring it on.

You do understand the reason why we have averaged 46 points is because we played the next to worst defense in the country and a team that got beat 51 points by Chattanooga last year?

I think we will lose this game. We'll run the same gimmicky crap on offense, and be conservative. If we couldn't beat UF last year at home, then it's hard to believe we will win in the swamp.

i can't wait to see your posts next sunday after we actually do (we will) win. you're acting on emotion. stop.

We played even with Oklahoma, Florida played even with Kentucky. But its all the same, that's cool.

My point is that our offense has been scrimmaging these teams, and executing plays for yards and scores.

We haven't even begun to see what this offense can do in a game that really counts for something.

Y'all are worrying about nothing. Did you see the Washington/St. Louis game today? Matt Jones was running wild. Florida had more players drafted than just about every team in the SEC. And yet they still only beat us 10-9 with our best QB watching the game.

If we closed a 24 point margin with Oklahoma in one year to a double OT game, then I'm sure we can close a 1 point margin against Florida.

The game will be over after 3 quarters. 27-10 Tennessee.

Georgia is the next real game we play.

Your username says it all.

I'm not acting on emotion. I have not been near as upset as others when it came to the Oklahoma game. I have been in the boat that we win 6 or 7 games this year, if healthy. 2016 has always been the year for Butch.

It's also not emotion when I make a prediction that we will lose to a team for an 11th time in a row at their stadium.

I'm sure you told everyone that Tennessee would beat Florida last year.

I need to see us beat a team better than a declining USC.

The Oklahoma game didn't count for anything?? If we win, then the entire perspective of this fanbase and program is a complete 180.

How delusional.

Also, many are overlooking because of the game last year. The game last year was two teams going in opposite directions.

UK had lost several games in a row, and we were just coming off of the USC win.

This year, UK will be playing for a bowl berth, and it will be at UK. UK will be a tough, tough game for Tennessee.

I really do hope Tennessee wins this game. It would be great for Vols fans to finally get the win after ten years. It also would be great for Butch going forward.

FL no doubt

Yea, I think so too Cat.

And we couldn't do anything against Oklahoma's defense in the second half in front of the most electric Tennessee crowd in years.

But, hey it's cool because we weren't taking that game serious because it wasn't important.

Unbelievable.

I don't know if the OP is right or not (so much depends on chance that no one can accurately predict the outcome). However, I do think a lot of the people are giving him grief on this thread, but just a few weeks ago, he would have had many supporters who would have been confident of a trouncing at the Swamp. During the first half of Oklahoma, maybe even still in the third quarter, we would have agreed with the OP. Then the double OT happened and now we are much more scared of Florida. Maybe we are just more "realistic." Maybe it is good that the Hype Train has derailed. I don't know. I just think the OP is saying something that a lot of people would have agreed with not too long ago ... until Tennessee became "Swooners to the Sooners." Chalk it up as a side effect of Chokelahoma 2015.

Another year, another "we are saving the good plays for Florida/Georgia/Alabama" statement...
