Same Nega-Vol Channel, Same Nega-Vol Time!

In this episode of the Twilight Zone, we pit a greenhorn aeronautical engineer verses a wounded and hungry gator...It's the laws of physics verses the laws of nature. Who will emerge at the top of the food chain...man or beast?

Brains over brawn, every time. :good!:

We just have to go in Gainesville with the attitude that we are going to win this game no matter what it takes. No fears no worries! Play with a mean streak & keep our foot on the gas petal till there is no time left on the clock!!!!

Ok. So here it is. Screw you freakin guys. I've been waiting on football season since Iowa was Done last year. And half you clowns act like being a Vol fan is some voodoo your parents put on you and you are so miserable. Fact is we have a better all around team than we have fielded in a decade plus. There are questions here and there but I am proud of my squad for the first time in forever. We have guys capable of doing things. And yall on here Talking about Florida like they are the freakin green bay packers...ludicrous. A halfway decent defense with a worse offense than we had at the beginning of last year. And you guys act like we are gonna get dealt with. What are you guys gonna say when we play a real team??? This is what we been waiting for! Stop acting like you hate life, scared to live another saturday. it's freakin football season. And I am a Vol. that is all.

Shouldn't be worried about FL. They are 2-0 but they played nobody, Kentucky is always bad right? We'll be able to throw on them with ease, their #1 cb is so overrated. And 10 straight losses? That doesn't mean anything! Their new coach is about to be taken to school by Butch's play calling. Get ready 50-0 Vols !

I'm worried. I don't care how awful they are, they've won the past 10 times and you have to respect that.

I believe it will be a lot like last years game. Last year was an ugly game for everyone.

If the Vols can run the ball, we are in trouble. I don't see you going going to a 4 WR set and being successful. Our D is made for that. This will be the first time we have played against a running QB, so that scares me.

On the other side of the ball, we have not shown that we can run the ball. Our O-line cannot get any push and we cannot pass block to save our lives.

This is a good year to jump on the Gators because we are playing so many guys, we are going to be stacked next year.

Good luck.

Naw I think Debord and Butch will have a good gameplan to stop Florida from blitzing all game. Butch's and Debord's gameplan for UF is to stop UF from Blitzing like Oklahoma did in the second half. Expect to see WR Screens, HB Screens, and a lot of slants this game.

Butch: What's this slant you speak of?

I'm just not seeing where the confidence is coming from. Disregard the streak, disregard the fact that it's in the swamp, if you just straight up look at the match up, it looks troubling.

Our biggest problems on offense are
1. The OL
2. An inconsistent passing game (deep ball in particular, exacerbated by problem #1)

Florida's biggest strength is their defense, and on Defense their biggest strengths are
1. Their secondary (elite)
2. Their disruptive DL

Sounds like a bad recipe, but despite this I think (with close to 0% confidence, but it is still my pick) that this is the year we overcome due to special teams play, and capitalizing on a TO or two by their Frosh QB.

You can look at it from the opposite side and say the same.

Our strength is our defense. McNeil is back, pass rush is till goof without maggit. They're weakness is offense, have a bad OL and struggle to score points.

It goes both ways.

Thanks Homer. We have a LOT of young talent. I'd give us an advantage in that department overall, but it's at Florida and you likely have the better coach.

On your second point, Tennessee will also be better next year. We will have more talent than you again. However, we could field the Packers and you could field my local powder puff team and Florida would still win 10/10 times.

I hope it don't turn into a "Hurd" type of game like OU did and DeBoard forgets about our best playmaker. Kamara, he needs to return kick offs , punts, catch passes , take handoffs and have about 25 touches, not 4 or 5 like he had in our first meaningful game!

I agree with everything but your last statement. Lol at you being stacked next year. That's funny. Your team isn't very good, your recruiting class last year was horrible, and muschamp didn't leave much on offense for you. Your offense is 3yrs away. Nobody is concerned about UF for the forseable future. Except for TN cause it doesn't matter what we have when it comes to UF.

Kamara is too good to only touch the ball 6 times in a big game. North, pig, and wolf are too good to be forgotten as well. We have tons of offensive talent but our coaches don't use it. Frustrating.

We have to own their front 7. Plain and simple, and our front 7 on D has to own them. Having a mobile qb will help and we have to coach him to pull it down and make it a helter skelter type game. If we rush for 150+ we win.

Y'all are worrying about nothing. Did you see the Washington/St. Louis game today? Matt Jones was running wild. Florida had more players drafted than just about every team in the SEC. And yet they still only beat us 10-9 with our best QB watching the game.

If we closed a 24 point margin with Oklahoma in one year to a double OT game, then I'm sure we can close a 1 point margin against Florida.

The game will be over after 3 quarters. 27-10 Tennessee.

Georgia is the next real game we play.

Yeah, sure. I hope you prove me wrong, but I don't see it. It will be a low scoring slugfest like last year IMO. If, and that's a big if, we score in the 20s, we will win.

Exactly, Florida is terrible. I bet bowling green would beat them. We are so much better this year that we might even come close to beating Alabama. Dobbs can still make a run at the heisman, no doubt.

Around the same time our OL gave up 4+ sacks a game. This year's OL is miles a head of last year's squad.. They've just got many more miles to go

No they're not. With Worley in we would have given up 4+ sacks a game again. Dobbs can escape pressure. Marginally better at best.
