Here's why:
Who's coming back:
47 Jerod Askew--- Redshirt, but by all accounts is a beast
43 Savion Frazier---played exceptionally well until injury, will have a solid senior year
47 Greg King---- played well, but only a freshman, another year and he'll be a monster
37 Nigel Mitchell-Thornton- again, freshman still learning, but he'll be good next year
34 Herman Lathers- Jury still out, but coaches are high on him, again young and still learning!
56 Nick Reveiz---had all american #'s till his injury, and is the leader of this team with Eric Berry gone. He's like a 230lb Rudy!
97 Robert Nelson--- wasn't the biggest recruit out of HS but this guy has been a vol his whole life, he wants on the field bad!
42 LaMarcus Thompson---- another one of those, not fair injuries that really cost us down the stretch!
9 Daryl Vereen--- has proven himself at this level, not starter material, but provides solid depth
Not to mention Marlon Walls, who is either defensive end or linebacker, doesn't matter, coaches think he has to be on the field next year.
New comers:
Ralph Williams-- from what I hear is underrated, we could lose him, but I think he stays a vol!
Micheal Taylor-- Call him small if you like, but if you watched the UA game yesterday you know he's going to be a great player here!
The reason we have gone after seemingly every top defensive lineman is because in 2011, this is all we'll have, we need depth there more than any other position right now.
