I'm obviously biased, but I think it works better as a girl's name

so basically dad's should name their sons something that would sound amazing be moaned by a 19 year old co-ed and name their daughters something hideous like gertrude or bertha or louise

Thanks for all the input friends. For the record, wifey has been back and forth with the name the whole pregnancy. I give 3 names from the get go with Neyland being #1 on my list. I never told her it was set in stone I just told her it was my pick for a name and she could decide. The last month or so she has been calling him Neyland and telling other people thats what she is gonna name him. And this boy is gonna get laid cause he will have awesome running though his veins like his daddy. lol kidding. Thanks everyone

Love the name and maybe it's kinda like the name Morgan, it can go for both boys and girls. What will his middle name be? Not sure what Vader's darling has for her middle name. A name is huge and I can see Neyland for both. Just my :twocents: A brand new baby, just brings tears to my eyes! Congrats!

Long time reader and I don't post very much. Like to say great job on this site. I check it and read everyday. Anyways, I'm having a son in the first or second week of April and I've decided to name him Neyland. My wife and I went to a few football games this year and everytime she would see the stadium she would look at me and say, "You want to name him Neyland if it's a boy don't you?" lol. So sometime in April, Neyland will be a part of my family. My question is.... Has anybody else on this board or anybody know of someone who has the name Neyland? I was going for a strong name with a meaning to it. What yall think? Go Vols!!:loco:

Congrats! My wife is carrying our first son, Samford, as well. JK! I think Neyland is a cool name. I'm sure you'll be a gread dad as you've already put time in at coming up with a name.
