(serious question) Not trying to kick the bee's nest here, but in all these threads folks blame Butch. That was a scrappy play, a fluke, to me. I thought they did a great job getting us in as position to win. What would you have Butch do differently?

The only thing I could see was taking a time out instead of putting in JG. He was clearly not ready for that situation and made the line jump.

Scott made good/bad calls, Shoop made some bad/good ones. What did Butch do specifically that has y'all buying his moving truck?

And before you say it, yep I'm tired of mediocrity too. I'm just trying to understand what you're getting at specifically.

The entire series from their inches line did it for me.

Why John Kelly wasn't running it up the middle, and why we made the same mistake four or five plays in a row of running idiot pass plays is beyond me.

How many times in the end zone you don't jus give the ball to Kelly or line up and smash the sob in...

Ummmm

Maybe get his head out of his ass and run the ball on 1st and goal from the 1

Maybe do it again

Maybe just leave in the middle of the night and not come back

Scott makes those calls.

Manage the game. Beat inferior teams.

Lost today exactly the same way we should have lost at UGA last year and nearly the same way we lost to Florida in 2015.

Running that defense on the last play is beyond a poor call. It's incompetence and unforgivable.

Not ever running at all when you have the best running back in the SEC when your 1st and goal from the 1 is beyond incompetent and unforgivable.

We never got the chance. JG jumped the line on us. Tough play for that kid. He wasn't ready for that.

...how about a play right out of "football 101". You put the safety on the goal line in prevent and tell him you are Gandolf, and none shall pass.

If he had done that and the defender just got beat, I wouldn't have a problem with "that" play.

Well first off, it's not just today. What happened today fits a pattern of what we've been seeing since 2013. However since you asked, how about actually handing the ball to your beast of a running back when you're inside your opponent's 10 yard line. How about on third and a half a yard, lining up under center. How about not throwing fade routes on the goal line. How about in the final minute of the game, using the clock to your advantage. How about tailoring the offense to suit the talent that you have.

You think Butch has no input?

Multiple coordinators, multiple same, mind-numbing idiot shotgun passes from the one.

I'm sure he does, just doesn't use that in game. Plus he can't after the play has already happened anyway.

the highlighted part above is spot on. I think a lot of people forget about that.

He should have stayed in Knoxville and watched the game at Corner 16.

To be in that situation in the first place is a joke. Elite coaches don't put their team in that situation to lose the game.

Ok. The last line if your best one. If Dormady can't run, the option is useless. Agreed.
