I think most of us are over last year... give it a try..

Evidently most aren't as the reason NS isn't in the rotation is because of "The Wyoming Game."

Unfortunately, CLK has done this: most of us agree it was probably, at worst, even stevens between JC and NS last year. CLK said the competition was "close."

But now, when it is painfully apparent we shouldn't be leaning on JC, a few series of NS could provide a spark; give JC a chance to regroup. Name JC as the starter, but CLK backed himself into a corner saying both his "close" QBs wouldn't get snaps.

Well.. maybe. Since I live in FLA, and I am not able to see the continual UT soap opera regarding all this, you might be right. All I have to go on at this point is what little I do see in the national media. But what I DO know is that Coach K is building a program that was stripped of talent, and foundation is where it all begins. As far as the fans are concerned, we are now a victim of all our past successes. But if coach K thinks JC is our best opportunity to have ANY consistency, I have to give him benefit of the doubt. He is the expert here. I would expect him to defer to me if my airplane were on fire and not second guess my actions..

While jc threw the ball behind the recievers on the crossing routes time and time again you can't put this loss all on him. Team loss if there ever was one.

Quick reminder: JC didn't win the Wyoming game either.

Lamest excuse in Vol Land right now for what is painfully apparent.

Sssshhhhhhhh, the cromptonites/NS haters don't wanna acknowledge that...

Nooooo, the cromptonite LOVE to forget CLK said the competition was and it was a hard decision. They live on "Two staffs named him the starter..." Well last I checked, Fulmer was FIRED for his decisions.

We need to stick to the template.. It's the WR's fault, NS lost the wyoming game, and if NS was better CLK would start him.... BS!

Wanted to post this in a new thread but couldn't....
I have enjoyed this week on your boards, the "Official Make Fun of AU" thread was hilarious. Few fanbases can feel your pain right now....we are one of them. Last year was a grinding awful heart wrenching pain..all I could think was "better days are ahead."
Botom line...UT is an elite program in an already elite conference. With the addition of just a few players you guys are DEADLY. I am proud to have come out of Knoxville with a win. Keep your heads up..UT is in Atlanta within four years. Good luck the rest of the season....and for the love of God and Little Teeny Baby Jesus...beat Bamr.

I don't understand what is so hard to comprehend about our QB situation...

Two separate coaching staffs have evaluated our QBs, and both staffs have come to the same conclusion: Nick Stephens is not as good as Crompton.

Crompton sucks. I realize this. I screamed at my TV tonight like the rest of you, begging and pleading for him to throw it in front of a crossing receiver. He can't. He sucks. But apparently, and I know this is hard to believe, but...

Stephens sucks worse. Is it possible? Could it really be possible that a QB could suck worse than Crompton? Apparently, it is. And that QB is Stephens.

This season is going to suck. Next season may not be much better. I have realized and accepted this. But I still bleed orange, and I'll still watch Crompton suck it up even if we're down 40-0.

Go Vols.

Priceless. You just got linked at Gate 21, my friend... :salute:
