I'm getting tired of losing "ALL the CLOSE GAMES"!

How 'bout the LSU game? I agree but what the hell can ya say? It's water (putrid as it may be) under the bridge. Can't take it back so may as well just move on to the next battle. Not saying a new general, colonel, seargent or corporal is needed, just gird for battle and fight like hell to beat all comers.

Coach Pearl had two missions. Make UK a rivalry again, and fill up TBA. He has accomplished that last year, which is why we can't get over anxoius just yet, referring to my first post on this subject. We had personnel losses hard to overcome and young folks. March is what counts! Last year we won alot early and got tired and lost towards the end. Lose early and learn from it now, may help. I just was hoping this year would prove last year wasn't a fluke. It's proved positive! Keep expectations low and enjoy the excitement now, then who knows what lies down the line for the Basketball VOlS!! That is my insight. Sorry to bore you!

You know if i didnt know any better i would give up on the Vols for the season, but the reason they have been losing close games is because they are young and inexperienced at closing games out, not only should they be winning these close games (exception of ohio state) but these games should be blowouts. When they get up they just relax because they believe the game is over but they really should be beating teams like vanderbilt and auburn by atleast 30 points if they knew how to close games out, but thats where bruce pearl comes in, if he is as good as coach as everyone thinks he is (including myself) he will give the team that killer instinct on closing games out when they have the opportunity

Good Post
Our main problem is that we are young at the post area but we will get better and the road games are hard on the youngsters. Nothing that time will not solve.

no im not saying we should have blown texas and ok state out because they are actually two quality top 25 teams, but auburn and vanderbilt are games that should have not even been close let alone losses... but we will c today if tennessee can finish off carolina at home

Pearl said at before the season started that the team was very young and would have problems being consistent. I think they have done well without a true post player with size. Pearl has to address this problem with the next recruiting class.

We are in the top 30 programs in the NCAA. We are winning. The SEC is tough and we are still competitive. We will go to the tournament this year. We have a future. We will get better and Lofton will be back this year and next. Need a good strong post player. He is coming. We are quick and this may not be the year but it is coming. Takes time we have been spoiled going from the lowest tier to the upper in one year. It takes time.
