If it's Kevin Steele or Chad Morris. I will stop waisting my time. I can't believe I'm even saying that, but I can't believe this is who we are.

I imagine it will be worse, of course with a five year contract and huge buyout. I'm running out of decades to wait for our ADs to be football knowledgeable.

Hang in there friends...so far nobody has been hired, so we can hold out hope for a proven winner for at least a little while longer. We have hung in there for the past decade of excrement on the field...a little while longer won't hurt us.

I stated on this forum earlier today that flirting with Gundy was a potential disaster.

He did the exact same thing 5 years ago and I guess someone forgot to tell Currie.

As I said, great coach and would love to have him, but it's his Alma mater.

Back off the ledge. They have employed the Clay Travis Dump truck full of cash strategy and Gundy was just an excuse to show it off to all the coaches.

The common denominator with Mike Gundy is not our AD’s.. It is Jimmy Haslam. You don’t think John Currie just randomly honed in on the same guy Dave Hart did 5 years ago do you?? This is so obvious at this point. John Currie is simply taking orders from above. He will not make this hire independently.

Well that was proven by the Schiano fiasco. Haslam's making all the calls here.

This is correct. This search too closely resembles 2012 to completely blame Currie. It is obvious that Currie is just a puppet right now. We just need Charlie Strong to turn us down next and then hire Jeff Brohm. We will have practically duplicated 2012.

Another unproven coach hire will result in many walking away... season tickets will be cheaper!!! No donation seats coming back!!!

Currie better hope like hell Poppa Jim has a position lined up for him pumping gas. Cause once he’s chit canned at UT, there’s not another major school going anywhere near his sorry ass.....not after this

I'm close. I waited out Dooley to get to the next coach. I waited out Botch for the same reason. If we let Currie rush an awful hire, I'm not sticking around for the end result. No, UT football won't miss me. But I sure won't miss it.

Funny how so many of the supporters of this guy leaving were so against Ainge saying he's done if UT hires the guy that already screwed them once.

Those of you questioning others on here in regards to their fan status need to just shut up. Obviously, any fan left is absolutely a TRUE fan. All of the Fairweather, bandwagon, "weak", etc fans are LONG GONE.
