That Ramar is good only for getting the ball down court really faster than Howell. But then he needs to pass it off and then get out of the way!!!!

that's what he has been doing all game. except for when he drives the lane and passes, or gets fouled. When was the last time Jordan Howell drove the lane effectively

yeah and emain is trying to tell me how much better ramar is than howell

i was only giving you crap for saying ramar should be benched. and if you really think that howell is that much better than ramar, i don't think there is anything i can do to help you.

The simple fact is, we don't have a great point guard right now, and Ramar is much more likely to become that than Jordan freakin Howell

well we are worried about winning now. You might want to worry about helping coach pearl. He is the one that has started howell about 7 games in a row over ramar.

and I will continue to think it is a mistake until he corrects it.

and if you asked Bruce Pearl who had more potential at the point, I guarantee you he wouldn't say Jordan Howell. Maybe you should read between the lines in my post.

I didn't say he wasn't better than Jordan. I actually said he is faster, but I think somethimes he gets too fast for his own good, that's all.

you can't be playing guys based on their "potential" in college basketball

you certainly can't be benching them either.

Regardless, after that second half, I think we can all agree that Ramar has taken a step in the right direction, and we are a better team when Ramar Smith is on his game

Ramar had his best game of the year today.

Which isn't saying much. Fact is, up til tonight he has had almost twice as many turnovers than steals, practically non-existent assists, horrendous shooting numbers inclucing 40 percent from the line and 18 percent from three. He lacks vision when driving and leaves himself no outlet, historically-however he shows improvement there. Let's not give him the keys to the city yet. Congrats to him for a good game tonight. Let's see a little more consistency first.

Pearl noted that it was this time last season when Ramar started to step it up. Of course, he was a true freshman then and now he's in his second year.

the lackluster offensive play we've seen to date is very much attributable to our PG issues.

Haha ... I didn't say I wanted to give him the keys to the city. I just said he had a good game. I was at the game today -- seems like Ramar's getting his Deeeetroit swagger back.
