I don't see us beating GA.

Did you see us beating OK or FL??? Ohhh wait a minute....

GA has big time QB issues. If we can stop Chubby we have a great shot of getting the W. Also we need to slow down with the Hurry-Up offense and eat some clock. GO VOLS!

I saw us beating both of them by two scores halfway through the 4th quarter just like everyone else did.

Once we get ahead by 2 scores we need to get the ball and not give it back unless we have to at half. Get a first down and take a knee and run down the clock. 😁

UT needs tackle Chubb and company upon 1st contact. Make the QB beat them, and please let Dobbs run the football this week!

because putting another qb in is going to make those wide receivers come wide open...

It might if the WRs actually believe they could get a pass once they get open. So far, even if they are open, the ball goes to whoever is standing 1 yard on either side of the line of scrimmage. Having watched the home games in person, you see receivers open (on occasion) and you can also see their body language once they are open and do not get a ball thrown to them.

I have said many times on this board that I do not think the coaches have any faith in Dobbs' ability to throw downfield. I also do not think he reads defenses that well or at least he does not go through his progressions well. I know his time is limited due to the OL, but he does occasionally have the time. I have seen a number of plays in which there was no safety support over the top and 1:1 coverage on one of WRs. If I saw that as a QB, then my first read would change to that receiver. If he gets a step, then you have a chance for a huge play. One play against OU, the defense put one DB covering two of our WRs on the far side of the field. Dobbs did not appear to even look that way before the snap and stayed with the inside screen play. The play netted zero yards while one of the two WRs ran uncovered up the field. We NEED significant improvement in the passing game.
