I'm a Believer, ESPN Really Does Hate Us

Never mind the fact that there are more than 30 Tennessee grads that work on air or in production for ESPN.
I didn’t realize there were that many Vols working there. That just makes it worse for the other people that are bitter towards UT. Imagine having to work with those affiliated with the program that is the source of your humiliation.

From people that work there, the haters you reference simply don't exist.

If you actively look for bias in any situation, you're going to find it. Ohio State fans think ESPN hates them. Alabama fans think ESPN hates them. Clemson fans think ESPN hate them. None of that is true. But if you're looking for an agenda or bias, then your own bias will find it.

So last night, I am watching the Yankees game and the ticker below has all the subjects coming up such as NFL, GOLF, NASCAR, NCAAF, etc. I consciously looked at the NCAAF and said, well, thank goodness there is nothing to report in Knoxville...... and then how I was proven wrong in just mere seconds. I hate the Ticker - only brings bad news to Vol Lovers worldwide. I pray that someday, someday the ticker will be our friend again.

Just dont watch. I haven't watched ESPN programming in years. Other than college basketball and football gamed
Me either. They have the absolute worst sports reporting on the planet. Their 60 for 60 is good on occasion, but I just have to happen to be channel surfing and catch it to watch.

That and I really don't care about their seeming 24/7 love of the NBA.

ESPN has been been celebrating the 150th anniversary of college football. The Vols have received very little, if any love...

- In their documentary of the 150 years of college football "Football is Us," Tennessee is not mentioned once... No video of the Vols and definitely not by name... The majority of other teams, SEC and otherwise, were documented, but not the Volunteers. The love fest for Ohio State and Alabama almost made me puke... I did learn that Bear Bryant was a racist though.

- In their "The 50 Best College Football Programs Over 150 Years" article the Vols were 14/50. Not great, but not bad either until you look at Yale, North Dakota State, Princeton, and Harvard that are ahead of us... Come on... I get it... American football started out as an ivy league school game that only the elite played, but to say that they are the best "teams" over the 150 years of football is way off. They were the founding teams, but definitely not the best...

- You read further into the "The 50 Best College Football Programs Over 150 Years" article and they talk crap about us. Its like they know that we are an iconic and historic team (otherwise they would not have ranked us 14/50) but they can't get past their bias to say it.

The 50 best college football programs over 150 years

I'll get off my soap box... Thanks for listening VolNation. It can be lonely up here in Nebraska for a man who bleeds orange... Go Vols!
Only thing I saw about Tennessee was George Cafego putting on his helmet.

The beatings at the hand of UT has created folks that are bitter towards UT.

Do any of them work for ESPN? Who knows for sure. All the people I’ve encountered that are bitter towards UT don’t work for ESPN.

Going back to my 1st post on this subject, ESPN can’t hate anything, but the people that work there can.
