No, I don't know who he will be and I don't care. Coach Cutliffe would not be my first pick, but if he is standing on the UT sidelines next season, I will be cheering for him.

I don't think Coach Calhoun would run the option at Tennessee, but if he comes and does I will yell my lungs out.

Houston Dale Nutt is a glorified used car salesman, but if he has a press conference stating that he is "all Vol," then I will have his back.

People, there is no perfect coach. Kiffin did many good things for UT before he screwed us. And yet the whole time when he was trying to make the Vols better there were people on the sidelines taking shots. Yes, it turned out that he was a snake. You told us so. We get it.

Whoever is hired has his detractors all ready to jump in yelling that Mike Hamilton is an idiot for hiring the bum. I won't be one of them.

I am for the new coach no matter if he is my first choice or my last. If he is wearing the orange and leading the Vols through the T next season, then I will support him. I hope ALL of Volnation will join me.

This was the problem with the idiot that just left here. Some of you will blindly support whoever the powers put in place. I support the program, not necessarily the coach.

i would boycott like i did the last 3 years of fulmers reign and stay at home and watch the game. if we don't care if we win, why waste good money to go to a game. attendence will be at a all time low next year, thanks to mikey.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. It's easy for a vol fan to make this mistake. Before Kiffin, the coach was synonymous with the the program since most posters here can remember. For all their flaws, Fulmer and Majors bled UT football.

If it's Calhoun...he better hire an AMAZING offensive coordinator. And meet with the team ASAP to calm fears.

Bray will have a heart attack.

I was skeptical of Kiffin at first but ended up jumping on the band wagon for the same reasons USC fans are. The coaching package he put together.

I will not be jumping on any band wagons this year and will not be buying my season tickets if I'm not convinced we have superior coach and plan. I will always be a fan but I don't have to spend money to support a lack luster coach.

I support the program. With that being said, I will be at 2-3 games next year. The ones I cannot go to, I will watch on TV. I am a die hard Vol fan and if Calhoun, Leech, Cutcliffe, or Kippy is the coach, then I will still be a fan.

I will also attend games and watch the others on t.v. but not because of a coach, I will because I love and support UT. I will not support any coach just because he is our coach.

Remember, Calhoun was the runner-up to Kiffin a year ago and had at least one vote on UT's search committee. He's also esteemed for the way he runs programs and shows the flexibility to adjust to his personnel's strengths. It's not about option or wing-T or any of that. He's been an NFL offensive coordinator. He's worked with Mike Shanahan. He can coach a pro style offense.

People need to stop freaking out over Calhoun
