Not at all. And if his statement were just opinion, no problem.

But when the thread is entitled something which is an objectively untrue fact, I would think the mods would intercept it, just to maintain the integrity of the board.

If I started a thread entitled "Entire Vols Football Team Are Martians," i would expect it to be taken down pretty quickly. This thread is premised on a claim of equal accuracy.

More believable than most of the other garbage you use a a thread starter.

These "incentives" and/or credits have been discussed extensively on several XM channels this week. Some of the amounts listed are extremely high for some of the tax credits listed. These credits normally don't apply to the middle class either.

Not exactly. The refundable credits (meaning you can get refunded more than your tax payments paid in) are:

Totally Refundable right out of the treasury:
Earned Income Credit
Premium Assistance (Obamacare, up to amount of premium)
Tax Paid On Fuels For Off Highway Use (Farms)

Maybe Partially Refundable:
Additional Child Credit
American Opportunity Education Credit

Every other credit is a dollar for dollar reduction in taxes owed and cant be more.

You say not exactly and then define my point for me. Not sure what your goal was here.

Has anyone provided proof of the OPs claim, or are you simply enjoying your unwarranted outrage?

Huh? Most people get a refund because they overpay. Idk how that's the governments fault. That's between you and your employer

Wtf us a tax credit for? Why if I have more kids and make less money it lessens my tax burden? The s*** is ass backwards.

I oppose most tax credits also. I think the entire system needs to be simplified and less deductions should be made available.

I'd keep deductions for education, medical expenses, and net loss. That's about it.
