I'll take all the tickets

I was responding to a post where someone said he has a job that requires very little. If you and the one who wrote that actually believe it, then I don't know what to tell you. It's as if some on here think he's just here for the check and doesn't believe in what he's doing and I just don't agree with it.

I'm as critical of Butch as most Vol fans right now, but its ridiculous to suggest the man isn't working his ass off. In over his head? Remains to be seen, but even his harshest critic couldn't call him lazy.

Why are there people who claim to want the best for our Vols, but refuse to take issue with the fact that our HC could have lured an exciting, up and comer to turn or tremendous talent on offense into an SEC monster?! If you are a true VOL, you want the best for Tennessee. When Butch hired Debord was he giving his all of Tennessee, or was being lazy and complacent?

Exactly. I didn't like not going for two and I didn't like running it on 3rd and 6. He deserves criticism, but no way he's just here collecting a paycheck and laughing behind closed doors. There are 14 SEC jobs and I'd say he has one of the better ones. Whether or not he is the right man for job remains to be seen, but I do believe he wants to win here.

You'd have a better shot of getting extra tickets if you'd try and be a little bit nice about it.

most of the NegaVols aren't the ones going to games anyway...heck they probably don't leave their parents' basements other than to get a new video game or beer

I believe you can support the team and be a fan but have real questions about this coaching staff. If you can't see the obvious problems with Butch and his crew then you really don't know football. Can he fix it? Who know but I hope so. If he loses Saturday the. It's oretty much over as I don't see them making a bowl game. Players will start to quit and he will get pounded by national

He wasn't being lazy. We gave him the key to the city after the bowl game and he decided to payback his former boss. He has created an old boy system to the detriment of UT football.

He coaches a football team...he's not in a coal mine wondering if he's gonna see his family again and praying the roof doesn't cave in. LOTS of people "work" harder than a football coach. There's a huge difference in working long hours and working hard. Im not trying to take anything away from him. Im sure he works hard but not $4 million dollars hard. I'd trade him job for job and paycheck for paycheck ANY day of the week.

I have no problem with people staying at home. The University listens when the revenue disappears. Butch better coach the game of his life this Saturday or more folks are gonna be calling for his head. This frustrations goes back to being fed hype for years on end.

I'd rather burn them than give them away. My tickets will be counted as attendance regardless because they've been paid for.

That's harsh Yank, I remember when it didn't work out for Freak to make it to the game and he did give his away. We are all grumpy, about these two games, and I think it's fair to be, but let's not lose our heads along with the games. The point is don't burn them, give them to a fan that would not be able to go because of the price of tickets.
GO VOLS! Beat the Hogs!

I would trade him job for job, and we both keep the same pay.

UEG, many are expressing frustration with a coach, that at this time, looks like a wiz at recruiting and a buffoon at coaching during the game.

That's fair enough.

I'm sure most people who have posted and said they are fed up will continue to support the team and attend games. I will.

But, for some perspective - I've had my seats for 26 years, and although I don't go to practice or play on Saturday, I do put out a lot of effort to go to the games. Aside from the $1,500 or so each year to get the tix, I have a 5 hour drive one way to the game. Factor in all of the expenses, it isn't cheap, not to mention the time it takes. Add in that I'm not getting any younger...it takes it's toll.

I went through a stretch of 20 plus years with only missing three home games. I also paid my loyalty to 'Ole UT by paying tuition for me, my wife and my daughter. Yeah...I'm invested. In my view, I have the right to vent about what we have witnessed this year.

But more to the point, I've got family and friends that also get them from me when I can't go (free of charge) because they either can't afford or just want to go for the experience. If I am ever in the position where I can't go, and don't have anyone wanting to use my tickets...I certainly wouldn't mind giving them to you if the opportunity presented itself. Seriously.

However, as Butch has asked for patience, the same needs to be applied to all of the frustrated fans. I don't think anyone would be able to say that yesterday was acceptable, and calling out Butch is not out of line. I also don't recall anyone calling out any of the players (well, maybe Jumper...but that's on CBJ, too).

Good post. The only thing I would consider is the 4th quarter coaching, gotta seal the deal, seams like we fizzle late in the big games need to change that, and this week may not even give us the chance, if we play at the level we have been and the hogs do the same it will be an easy win and no one will appreciate it because they are in such a horrible place too. Lose to the hogs, and just remember there have been lots on here that said they counted it as a loss and that was back in July, and it will get ugly.
Get it together Butch! Beat the Hogs!

A. I'm going to the game.

B. It has nothing to do with the losses, I'm just not giving something I pay a lot of money for away for nothing.

From those who "quit" or say "Bye"

At our lowest point and our fans just "pile on" to the hurt.

Let me put this frankly: it's not about you. It's about the players who practice and go to school and sacrifice all they have to run out on the field and play.

Send me your tickets. I support this team all the time. I want to win every game. It's 4 games into the season. If you've never made it through adversity in your life, then you don't know what it's like to feels like to truly win.

To those who will say, "I support the players, not the coach" B.S. We are Tennessee. All of us. Not some of us.

Let me put this frankly: it's about me. My money, my time, my entertainment. I support the players 100%, win or lose. As for the coach paid nearly $4 million dollars a year, he lost all my support until he can own up to his failures, turn off robot mode, and fix the problems. Oh and ill burn my tickets before giving them to you.

So you really think the University and Boosters would spend millions of dollars a year and ESPN would hand out multi- million dollar contracts just so young men can play football?

Since ?Uneducated, you obviously the best and most truest fan ever known to the program, and are so concerned with "supporting this team" and putting "butts in the seats", you wouldn't mind reimbursing any interested season ticket holders for the remainder of their tickets? You said you only care about getting tickets to people who want them, so paying for the tickets should be a small price for you to pay.

Step up or shut up.
