I'll Stick with Dooley, Thank You

Me too. Dooley may or may not be the answer, but the SEC would have swallowed Leach whole.

GoVolsXtra GVX247: Mike Leach says he was interested in coaching Tennessee Vols

He was only interested AFTER he got canned. Play certainly would have been uptempo since he liked to go for it al the time. Still, Dooley is the better coach and fit.

I like Dooley and i think he is the right fit for Tennessee. He took a job that a lot of coaches would not take, because he has to build us back up. Thank God we do not have Leach as head coach. Dooley will have us back where we belong. You will see.

Leach was interesting in TN. when MH hired Kiffin, he interviewed badly.

You are exactly right. No coach or team will win in the SEC throwing the football 80 times a game and playing no defense. I remember ESPN saying what a great fiy Leach would be at UT.

Leach can't even pronounce player names right from Memphis game. Apparently "Taylor Bray" won that game and "Darnius Moore"

Excuse me I meant the right fit at UT not the right fly.

Hamilton is gone in June after meeting on infractions. Somebody familiar with the situation has to be there. Only reason he's still here.Hope he's not the one making our new baseball hire after this season. Of course Honeycutt or Garner have to be top candidates. Both would be interested.

Leach put at least a third of the coaches to sleep during his segment. He did have some funny one liners. My favorite speakers were Dooley & Garrett. Wilcox was very impressive. Thompson's segment was cut short due to a long winded high school coach, but still very informative. Heistand is a hard*ss (learned more from him than anyone else), but connects well with his players and builds on what they do right.

Dooley will NEVER be a big winner, we will vacillate between 6-6 and 8-4. he will run a clean program and the Peach Bowl is the best he will do. Sad but true.

Dooley will have a career similar to mark richt. He probably won't get us a title, but he'll recruit well and win us a lot of games.

While you are gazing into the future with all your powers, what are the Powerball numbers next week? TIA

Nostradamus, can you please explain why you believe that? Oh yeah, he was mediocre at La Tech therefore he must be mediocre with Tennessee (with better facilities, better supporting coaching staff, better history, and more money and fan support backing him). He's sure to fail.

As a fan, all I'm looking for is for the team to get better from one year to the next. I'll withhold criticism until we stop improving. Will you go out on a limb and say we won't improve next season? 2012? Which year are we going to stop improving?

Thanks for sharing but I think this is better suited for the bar at the Alcoa Applebees.

I went to the Cotton Bowl when Texas Tech played Ole Miss and I've never seen such an "explosive" team get embarrassed. And Ole Miss was a middle-of-the-pack SEC team that year too. It was a whooping.

Glad you know what's gonna happen. I might as well give up my season tickets now since you can predict the future

I preferred Leach or Guz Malzahn at the time Dooley was hired. The reason was Leach never had a losing season in 10 seasons in the Big 12 where Dooley had had 2 losing seasons in 3 seasons in an easier conference.
