I'll Laugh If It Turns Out To Be Houston Nutt

Why in the world would it be Houston Nutt? He can't get a job with a D2 school, but we would hire him?

I don't see that happening, then again, the UT administration has made some strange hires before. If we're turned down by multiple contacts, the powers that be may make a quick offer and hire to a coach that's tier 2.

My concern is if the administration let's this drag out until December or longer (if we make a bowl game), then wait until 30 days before signing day to make a hire.

We can hire Mullen away from MS State, then they can go after Nutt to replace him. Watching him coach against Ole Miss every year would be pretty funny.

Let's count the HC jobs our former coaches are at? ...

Well, apparently that's not a prerequisite to being a UT HC.

About Nutt though, he'd be great for enthusiasm for 2 years. After that, bring in a new HC.

Won't happen.

But if it did, I'd be done with football. At least for a while. I just could not handle the reality my favorite team doesn't even care any more.
